Summary: Hilarious
Review: I am not usually into this type of movie, but this has to be one of the funniest ones I have ever seen. If you are easily offended by Dirty Harry then this is not the movie for you. But if you have a sense of humor, you HAVE to see this movie!!!

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: You hate yourself for laughing, but you do it anyway.
Review: My friend Kacoon and I saw this after she'd gone on a White Russian binge. We'd seen everything else in the theater, and she was in the mood for something slight.

Now, Kacoon and I have this penchant for picking the absolute-best bad movies out there and having a whale of a time while watching them, and "Undercover Brother," which had us laughing from the first "Macy Gray with porkchop sideburns" joke through its final moments.

The plot involves the first African American presidential hopeful, a Colin Powell-lookalike played, fittingly, by Billy Dee Williams. Moments before making his announcement to run, though, someone in the White Establishment working for The Man manages to get to him. Instead of running for president, Billy Dee ends up opening a chain of fried chicken/soul food restaurants.

It's up to Undercover Brother and his team from THE BROTHERHOOD (including the stereotypical Chief, Sistah Girl and Lance the white Affirmative Action intern) to save the day.

Throughout the movie, you hate yourself for laughing, but you do it anyway. Particularly when Denise Richards shows up as Ms. Snow, otherwise known as Black Man's Kryptonite.

Chris Kattan is the weakest spot in the cast, I thought, but the rest of the movie is dead-on in its parody of cop movies, spy movies, interracial romance movies, white culture, African-American culture and anything else it can get in its sights.

Very, very funny, even when the jokes are just ... wrong.

Summary: Great Movie!!!
Review: This movie is not just a spoof. It is one of the best comedy movies I've ever seen. It is right up there near Animal House. The spoof on black culture is hilarious. It's not just the afro-pick throwing stars, the 8-track launcher from Undercover Brother's Cadilac, or his parachute pants that save him from falling. It is the way that these jokes come at you nonstop. This is not a movie built around a lot of jokes, it is a lot of jokes built into a movie. I think this is a must see if you like to laugh and have fun. It is a relief from boringness Star Wars and the stupidity of Jackass.

Summary: I loved this movie!
Review: I keep reading people comparing this movie to Austin Powers. First off, it's not Austin Powers. Notice the black guy with the afro? Not the British guy with the bad teeth? This movie was just plain funny. Sure there was racial stereotypes and racial jokes, but who cares. If you can't laugh at yourself, who can you laugh at? Eddie Griffin was a riot and the final fight scene with Chris Kattan with the Michael Jackson music about made me pee. Check the movie out, make your own opinion. Don't let some stuffy, oversensitive prude make you miss a funny movie.

Summary: 70's Afro Flashback
Review: This movie was hilarious--to me. But I was a member of that generation. Big afro, platform shoes and "hot pants." Being a bourgeois black pronouncing my E's and R's, I made them cringe when I said the N-word. So this movie was terribly funny to me. My hat's off to Malcolm Lee for having the courage to make such a film. One IMDB reviewer who complained of having been offended by white jokes doesn't have any idea of just how offensive a great deal of this was to some black viewers. Suggesting that all types of black men, no matter how hip and politically savvy, fantasize about white women took guts. Many people, especially younger ones will not see the humor. But I laughed all the way through it. All power to the people. Right on, my brother.

Summary: Undercover Brother
Review: This is one of the funniest movies I have seen in a long time. I laughed from the opening credits until the end. It is not your typical comedy, where you have a few good laughs here and there; this was funny from start to finish. A really good laugh for the true comedy connoisseur.

Summary: Not What I Had In Mind.
Review: I knew the movie would be stupid, but I decided to see it because of these three reasons:

1.I had nothing else to do that day.
2.I thought it would have some funny moments.
3.Last,but not least,Denise Richards!

These three reasons dragged me to the movie theater. Before you know it,I was watching it.After the movie was over,I was thrilled to death because the movie was finally over. This movie is just plain horrible. It is stupid and is a waste of time. The only memorable part is the cat fight between Denise Richards and the other woman.Stay away from this movie.

Peace Out.

Summary: Definitely has its moments
Review: As a straight out comedy, the laughs are few and far between in "Undercover Brother." But if you know the genres this film is spoofing, this film will have you laughing all the way through. The director and designers obviously worked overtime making sure the film had the right look and style of '70s blaxploitation films.

If you like dead-on parody: Rent, buy or borrow this film... you won't be disappointed. But if people are telling you it is the funniest film in years, then you may be a bit disappointed.

The underrated Eddie Griffin is very funny in this (and perfect for the part). Expect "Undercover Brother" to become a franchise ala the Austin Powers films. Hopefully that will save Griffin from having to appear in bad movies like "The New Guy."

Summary: Best comedy I've seen on a long time! : )
Review: I think this was the funniest movie I saw this year along side Austin Powers 3. I honestly have to say, I saw it 3 times in the theatres and can't wait 'till it comes out on DVD. I'm totally gonna buy it. I think everyone worked so well together in this movie. Their comedy fit so well together. I thought Chris Kattan was hillarious as Mr. Feather. But he is my favorite actor so of course I would think that. LOL But I also thought Eddie Griffin was great as U.B. In general the whole cast was perfectly picked. I can't think of anyone that would have been better for any of the parts. They were all terrific.
So, I TOTALLY reccomend this movie. Go rent it when it comes out if you haven't seen it yet.

Summary: Undercover Brother Gets the Man
Review: Growing up watching the Blaxplotation movies of the 70's, I thought that Undercover Brother was very funny, with all the typical sterotypes and cliches. I loved all the Austin Powers series and put this right up there with them.
