Summary: Love it or hate it
Review: This is the type of move that if you like it you'll love it and end up watching it over and over again, and probably behind a cloud of smoke too knowing the type of people who love it.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: this is a wack movie!
Review: this movie is really weird but actually pretty good. some parts were funky and nasty but after watching them a second time they're funny. i think it was good enough to go watch some of gregg araki's other films.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: The cameos are the best!!
Review: One of the best films that strays away from the mainstream, not quite like any of the others(although it's compared often to NBK and KIDS), the Doom Generation portrays so many deeper aspects of life, religion, and mankind without forcing us to admit it. The acting is purposefully horrible, an artistic decision that helps the viewer pay attention to what's going on rather than the characters themselves. This is one of the funniest movies I've seen, and it actually does have a very deep meaning(you just have to look closely for it!). However, the cameos are absolutely spectacular and hilarious...Parker Posey, Marcy Darcy from married..with children, Perry Farrell, Heidi Fleiss, Margaret Cho, and many more keep us all on our proverbial toes. One of the best out there...two skull lighters up!

Summary: The movie is a phenominal acid trance of greatness.
Review: Rose McGowen is great in this movie, the whole idea of this movie is about an apocalypse, and subtle wordings and text often make us realize that this could all hapeen too easily.

Rating: 1 stars
Summary: Top of the list.
Review: This movie easily tops the list as the worst movie I have ever seen. There has never been a more grotesque or ridiculously disgusting movie ever made. Anybody who gives this movie any positive credit should seriously have their head examined. The violent and sexual content involved in this movie deserve much worse than an "R" rating. DO NOT SEE THIS MOVIE YOU WILL REGRET IT. Movie-going will never be the same.

Rating: 1 stars
Summary: Pathetic
Review: The Doom Generation (directed and written by Gregg Araki) is as close to worthless a film as I have seen. Utterly unredeemable and only marked with outrageous visual perversion to break up the boredom. Mr. Araki certainly suffers from a sickness of the soul and his "New Queer" filmmaking is destined for the dustbin of history.

Summary: The Doom Generation breaks every boundary
Review: Greg Araki's second installment in his teen-angst slacker/nihilism trilogy, The Doom Generation, goes where many movies fear to tread. The movie consists mostly of sex, cussing and violence but after seeing it all the way through, it no longer seems gratuitous. The movie is filled with little statements here and there that actually hold philosophical potential but the characters never really get a chance to just stop for a moment and consider the possibilities. Rose MacGowan plays a bratty meth user who ends up in the middle of a love triangle, literally. James Duvall plays her burnt out boyfriend whose density doesn't suggest a lack of depth. He keeps on being victimized throughout the film, right until the very end. One of the best things about the movie are all of the suggestive signs in the background that only give possible excuses for the odd reality the Rose and James share. The movie strictly follows several themes which many people may overlook due to the shock value of many other components. This movie definitely has an acquired taste to it and is clearly meant for mature audiences.

Summary: Lamebrain,wanna-be shock film.
Review: Three moronic kids drive around doing drugs, killing, and having pointless sex. The acting could get no worse, and the film lacks a plot. The only thing worth seeing in this film is Rose McGowan. Parker Posey also loses cool points for her unfortunate cameo.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Excitingly different!
Review: This movie is not quite like anything else out there. It is a slightly skewed view of what modern America could be like. This film is the first in a trilogy which only gets weirder. I love this and have seen it many times. I only wish I looked as good as Rose McGowan!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: This is an excellent movie
Review: This is one of the most interesting and popular breakthrough movies. Its similar to pulp fiction in the manner in which it is done except the movie doesn't jump around in the scenes as pulp fiction does. The camerawork and such is quite similar and it wouldn't just be without notice. If you closely watch this movie and can relate to it as many people of which i know can then you'd love it as i do. This is one of those movies which you can watch over and over again without getting bored of. If you haven't seen this movie before just go ahead and buy a copy of it. If you for some reason don't like it which would quite surprise me then i'm sure you'd know someone who would.
