Summary: Ugh.
Review: Fans of 60s camp-Batman Adam West will love this film. I loved that great old show too, but Burton set a new tone with the 1988 "Batman" film. We all scoffed at Michael Keaton (Mr Mom as BATMAN?!?), but he turned out to be great, bringing to the character a much-needed darkness and severity. Val Kilmer, a very good actor in his own right, can't live up to this; he's too...blond, maybe. Just not dark enough. And the star-studded cast of villains is also reminiscent of the earlier TV show. In all, it's too many big names and special effects and not enough character development or script. If you like the Dark Knight, avoid this clinker.

Review: I say this film is very underrated because a lot of people always knocking this film.I think this movie was very excitng.It has everything like action,drama,comedy and adventure.If you are a true Batman fan you will like this film.Thumbs up for Val Kilmar,Jim Carrey,Nicole Kidman,Tommy Lee Jones,and Chris O'Donnell.

Summary: The second worst, after Batman & Robin
Review: Joel Schumacher (worst director on earth) took the reigns of the Batman franchise and managed to do a pretty good job totally destroying it. First of all the story is pretty bad, in the first movie (Batman 1989) we see in a flashback that Jack "The Joker" Napier kills Bruce Wayne's parents and then in this movie we see how Harvey "Two-Face" Dent kills his parents. Wasn't Two-Face supposed to be a friend of Batman's, according to what had been published by Bob Kane (creator of Batman)?? Didn't this Schumacher read a couple of comics or at least seen a couple of the episodes from the animated series before doing this movie?? The direction is pretty bad. Val Kilmer is not as good as Michael Keaton but does an ok job, even thought I know that there will never be another Batman better than Keaton. The bat-mobile is horrible with that thing sticking out from the top and all of those blue stripes (even worst on Batman & Robin). Jim Carrey and Tommy Lee Jones do the best they can with that terrible script, I admit that I laughed a couple of times thanks to Jim but still this movie sucks. The presence of Robin was so expected and kinda failed, is that it should have been focused on a darker tone the whole movie, in my opinion. After the great work that Tim Burton, Michael Keaton and Danny Elfman had accomplished by the second movie this guy totally destroys it. I hope those guys over at WB put on moratorium or something the movies that Schumacher made and make totally new movies with Tim Burton directing and Michael Keaton with his black suit. Summary: Kilmer is a great Batman
Review: I think Batman Forever is a very fun movie.It's not as good as the first Batman movie,but I liked it better than Batman Returns,which I thought was too dark and dreary.(although you have to love Michelle Pfeiffer as Catwoman)In Batman Forever Val Kilmer takes over the role of Bruce Wayne/Batman and does an outstanding job,although Michael Keaton is still the best Batman.Tommy Lee Jones as Two Face(formerly Gotham District Attorney Harvey Dent,who was played by Billy Dee Williams in the first Batman)and Jim Carrey as The Riddler are the films villains,and they both are very good.Nicole Kidman is very good and incredibly gorgeous as Dr.Chase Meridian,Bruce/Batman's love interest in this film.Chris O'Donnell plays Dick Grayson/Robin and isn't too bad.The special effects are excellent,and the soundtrack is good.Overall,while a lot of people might disagree with me,I really like Batman Forever.

Summary: Not a Bad Movie, But Doesn't compare With Keaton/Burton
Review: This movie was entertaining however I have always prefered the dark gothic Batman. This movie is more like the Roger Moore Bond films. They weren't bad per-say, but the others were better. Worth watching to see Tommy Lee Jones as Two-face. However this Batman lite formula did not work twice. The follow-up film, Batman & Robin was atrocious and must be avoided at all cost. It sounds like,hopefully, the next film, Batman Year One, will go back to the Bat-basics.

Summary: "Let's start this party with a bang!"
Review: After two terrific Batman films comes Batman Forever. It is different on many levels than the first two but manages to be almost as entertaining. Val Kilmer makes a great Dark Knight and Tommy Lee Jones is a really good Two-Face. Jim Carrey is hilarious as The Riddler and Chris O' Donnell is good as Robin. The only character who doesn't live up to his/her standards is Nicole Kidman as a psychologist and love interest for Batman. Schumacher does a fantastic job of directing, for you have action scenes at the beginning, middle, end, and two minor ones in between. The opening is arguably the best one for it combines terrific photography with great music and lines and of course, explosions, Bat hardware, lots of gunfire, and outstanding effects. The drive up the skyscraper has well-done music plus lively special effects and a terrific end-shot with great overall photography. The middle has really two parts, with the party crash and the subway sabotage. This time the action is chaotic yet still has revolutionary photography, great stunts, excellent effects and two riveting entrances from Batman and Two-Face. The Wayne Manor break-in/BatCave destruction has more explosions but has many hand-to-hand fights and is probably the weakest sequence yet the sound effects are great in the BatCave. The climax needs more gunfire and hand-to-hand fights but its still good with exquisite photography, incredible special effects, excellent vehicles, amazing production design and lighting, and stunts and clevernes. As a whole, the cinematography, production design, sound, screenplay, and visuals are terrfic. This film is more sentimental and episodic than its predecessors and Alfred and Commissioner Gordon have better parts, especially Alfred. It's also more well-put together and crowd-pleasing and boasts a better script, plus a more interesting story but just isn't as good.

Summary: Batman Forever-great movie
Review: This isn't Batman or Batman Returns but it is very entertaining and fun to watch. You can't blame Joel Schumacher for going for a more crowd-pleasing and fun approach, like 2OO1 going to 2O1O and OHMSS going to Diamonds are Forever. This is a good movie for several reasons. The Oscar nominated photography is very well-done and revolutionary especially the during the building jump and BatWing sequences. The special effects are incredible. The sound is perfectly done also. Watch this you wont be disappointed

Summary: Entertaining, despite flaws
Review: Joel Schumacher takes over the Batman franchise in this episode in which Batman takes on the Riddler & Two-Face, while taking on a crime-fighting partner in Robin. Despite the brighter colors and air of campiness, there are enough dark moments to make this a fun film. Val Kilmer is a solid Batman, while Jim Carrey channels Frank Gorshin in his take of the Riddler. Chris O'Donnell has the right attitude as Robin. Unfortunately, Tommy Lee Jones' Two-Face is completely underdeveloped, while Nichole Kidman is just there for decoration. Unfortunately, Schumacher would completely abandon Batman's dark elements and create a disaster in the film after this...BATMAN & ROBIN. That said, this particular film is entertaining, despite it's flaws. Recommended
