Summary: Better than the new movie.
Review: 'The Incredible Hulk Returns' - 4 stars.

It has been two years since David Banner turned into The Hulk. Now, he believes he has found a way to cure himself once and for all. But his plans are screwed up when a young man from his past shows up and claims to be in the possession of Thor's hammer.

This is not the greatest story, but the acting and dialogue are surprisingly excellent.

'The Trial of the Incredible Hulk' - 3 stars.

David Banner is in jail for a crime he did not commit. Only blind attorney Matt Murdock (Daredevil) believes he is telling the truth. Too much attention is on the villain (Kingpin) instead of either of the heroes.

This DVD set is excellent for anyone who remembers the series (which deserves to be on DVD in its entirety) and wished the current movie was not in theaters.

Summary: Very good made-for tv Hulk movies.
Review: 1988's "Return of the Incredible Hulk" marks the return of Bill Bixby as the tortured David Banner who has a ego that is full of green rage. He must stop a sinister criminal with the help of a norse god named " Thor".

Then 1989's " Trial of the Incredible Hulk", Banner is in New York and is accused of hurting a woman in a subway. He gets help by a blind lawyer and superhero named " Matt Murdock" ( a.k.a. Daredevil) to find the Kingpin ( Jonathan Rhyes Davies) who's behind it.

Both movies are actually well done and action packed, but Trial of the Incredible Hulk does have a continuty error such as David Banner has a beard in the first half then he turns into a clean shaven hulk. Despite the flaws in these movies, they are quite enjoyable even for the incredible hulk fan.

Summary: Wasted effort by Anchor Bay
Review: 5 stars for the film content, 1 for the "contents". Alright I enjoyed the series as much as the next guy (yes I am among the other things you read about me on my reviews here a Bill Bixby fan may he rest in peace), but let's face it. Releasing these 2 as a 2 disc set is only to capitalize on Thor and Daredevil appearing in them as well. Alright in Death of The Incredible Hulk, nobody wanted to see the character die (in fact Bixby was planning on making another sequel, and explaining why he didn't die, but then Bixby himself got ill and passed away soon after) but if you're gonna release these "sequels to the series" on DVD, it is illogical to release 2 together as a set when there were only 3 movies. QED. Release all 3 in one set for [the price], THEN you'll get people to buy it.

Summary: Great movies!
Review: Buy these movies! THe first movie,David banner is living happily with his girlfriend. He has not been the hulk in 2 years. he hopes to keep it that way. He faked his death as David Banner. He is now changed his name to Banion. David Banion. He found a good job working in the dream job: the study of gamma activity. He makes an invention that could take the hulk away forever... But then a friend of Banner's from college stops Banion. He knows that Banion is really Banner. He shows Banner Thor: THe Norse god that he is in control of...and when Thor got thirsty, he got mad and destroyed the machine. And Banner gets angry and uncovers the living beast that was thought of as dead: the incredible hulk! Great behind-the-scenes footage and documentaries on the actors. The second movie was not as good as the first one. Daredevil meets the hulk... GREEEAAAT MOVIES ALL HULK FANS SHOULD OWN!!

Summary: Name of Hulk TV Show's End-Title Song?
Review: Does anybody know the name of the haunting piano-based song that always ran over the end title credits of the old Hulk TV series? Those of you who faithfully watched the show know what song I'm talking about....it usually played over a shot of David slowly and sadly walking off into the distance, leaving once more after his alter ego pretty much destroyed his chances of setting down any roots and getting close to any other people. It's a highly emotional, sad sounding song that almost always left no dry eyes in the house. Any help on this would be great -- name of the song, where to purchase it perhaps? Thanks!
Can't wait for all these Hulk TV show and movie DVDs to appear!

Summary: These are not Marvel Characters, only cheap TV imposters...
Review: Having Daredevil and Thor (or what passed for them) in these two Hulk TV movies were moves to get shows done on them which never came to pass. Thus they have more screen time then the Hulk does. It is really corny TV production at work here. Bad casting, writing, acting, sound effects, art direction, etc, etc.
The same was also true for the last TV movie where Banner/Hulk died (or appeared too), actually they were going to do another movie where the Banner/Hulk was revived by gamma rays in a very Frankenstein like manner. Robert B. McCullogh wrote the story for it, but it never happened. Perhaps it's just as well. These films being released on DVD is a waste of time. They are part of a time when Marvel characters were done the low budget way, as was the Punisher and Captain America movies, and it's a time worth forgetting.

Summary: Why Are they Releasing the same Titles Again!
Review: I am a huge fan of the Incredible Hulk! I love the TV series. But they are releasing the same ones over again. But these weren't in every store in the US. I saw these at HMV in Boston. Also the cover is very misleading, it shows the 70s photo of Lou and Bill, not the same covers I have with the late 80s look. Also the Trial of the Hulk was very disappointed. He was only the Hulk for about 5 minutes in the movie. It was more a Daredevil film than the Hulk. They have the same movies at movies unlimited. I saw the Trial in the store once and bought it for a friend. But the sound was off on it a little. The extras look good as well on this release. They should really release the 70s TV series, That is what everyone wants. Not these movies that didn't get the ratings NBC wanted. But I'll admit, If I didn't get those 2 movies before,I would of been on the edge of my seat to get these. ...

Summary: A Must Have For Hulk Fans
Review: I am a huge Hulk fan. This collection is great on DVD. Lou Ferrigno has a great featurette on there. I think Stan Lee has a neat thing as well. He reveals neat facts about the series. I can't wait to see the tv premeire on DVD. The trial of the hulk was a little weak due to the fact that daredevil had a lot bigger part than he did. The Hulk was only in the movie for 5 minutes. That was weak for a movie, but the Death is much better for Hulk action. The returns was much better, Not that the Trial was a bad movie. The extras definately make up for it. And one of the reviewers kept calling him Bruce, But the fact is his name is David in the series and movies. This is a great warm up for the movie coming out in June. So I emcourage everyone to get this.

Summary: I Said This Would Happen
Review: I am an avid Hulk fan since I was a kid. I grew up watching the T.V. series. I also spent many years taping the show when it was in syndication. I was into the Hulk when it was "underground" and nobody seemed to remember or care about the T.V. series. I remember hearing about the possibility of a big screen production by Ang Lee several years ago for the movie that is now going to happen June 20th. When I found out about that I realized that there would be an "unearthing" of the old T.V. series on DVD. Thankfully this is happening now. I hope that all (or at least the memorable episodes) are released and that there are tons of special features in widescreen. Now, unfortunatley the T.V. reunion movies were really lame. This DVD is full screen and although it says it has closed captioning - it doesn't (possibly some factory defect). Other than that it is great, with some good special features....
