Review: what can i say? i laughed, i cried. it was everything i ever wanted in 2 hours of pure enjoyment. this is simply the greatest creation in the history of mankind. there should be a "remo williams" class in school that kids are taught every year to learn his ideals and way of life. it will teach that one day you will be "killed" by the government and turned into a secret agent where a "korean" man will teach you how to fight and dodge bullets. it's all true. it happened to my best friend. his name is nemo williams. i wish this movie was a woman so i could marry it. its that great. see it see it SEE IT!

Summary: Buckaroo Banzai Meets (or mates) Rambo!
Review: This movie is in the vein of "The A-Team," a live action cartoon, a mishmas of action, martial arts, and off the wall comedy-a toned down Buckaroo Banzai, if you will. The best films always cross genres, but never cross wires. Look at Ghostbusters: is it horror, comedy, sci-fi, or fantasy. Or a documentary on New York in the 1980's?This film is well cast, and the comedy is oddball, but not overwhelming. The action is intense as they fight on the scaffolding around the Statue of Liberty, put in place for its centennial renovation during the mid-80's. A moment in time! I am glad that no other films were made. The limping Batman franchise is a monument to a fizzled idea. Don't drink below the horses: read the books!

Summary: Remo re-release
Review: I can't tell you how excited I am about the re-release of Remo Williams: the Adventure begins. I saw this movie for the first time last year and it has become a cult classic with my co-workers and I. The way this movie is put together is very strange. It's labeled as an Action/Adventure Movie but has many very funny parts that make you wonder if it's a comedy. my favorite part is when diamond tooth pays three construction workers thirty dollars to split between them for killing Remo. when diamond-tooth is convinced that Remo is dead he pays the workers in all one-dollar bills. Makes you wonder if he was paying them thirty thousand. that notion is dismissed when you hear one of the workers say: "It's Miller time boys!" over all I think this movie is a must see for cult movie lovers and I give it 5 stars! I have my order ready for 5-22, I hope you do too.

Summary: Remo Williams: One of the Greats
Review: Remo Williams is one of the greatest action/comedy films I have seen. Joel Grey's performance as the "Master of Sinanju", Chiun, is absolutely awesome. Fred Ward does an excellent job as the "take no s--- off on nobody-type" hero. The storyline exhibits corruption in the United States government very well. This is a great addition to anyone's personal video library. I highly reccomend it.

Summary: The Adventure Struggles to Begin
Review: When "Remo Williams" works, it works, but when it doesn't, it doesn't. As an action adventure film, it is filled with risk taking fight scenes and other acts of violence, but as a comedy it struggles and plays only on the oafish quality of Remo (Fred Ward) and the likeable but turned ditsy quality of Maj. Fleming (Kate Mulgrew). The actual adventure doesn't start until 30 minutes into the movie. Before then we are introduced to the main character as he is trained by his mentor (Joel Grey). A brilliant cast is the only thing which keeps this adventure from finishing last.

Summary: Fitfully funny
Review: When it works, it's hilarious, and when it doesn't...well, it's boring. Based on the hugely popular series of "Destroyer" novels, this movie was apparently supposed to be the first of a series. Never got off the ground, though. Joel Grey, completely unrecognizable under his heavy makeup, is very funny. The relationship between Fred Ward and him is what makes the movie. Some of the action sequences are well worth seeing. When Kate Mulgrew comes on the scene, the movie pretty much falls apart. Still, for all its flaws, it is well worth seeing-if just for Grey's one-liners.

Summary: A tale of two films. One enjoyable One boring
Review: The first half of the film was quite enjoyable. Joel Grey as 'Chun the master of Shinonjouh' was absolutely hilarious. He has so many great one liners that the movie is worth seeing just for those in and of themselves. It was also quite pleasant to see the relationship build between Remo (Fred Ward) and Chun. The action sequences although not spectacular were certainly entertaining and there are even some pretty good lessons to be learned from Chun's teachings. But the second half of the film is particularly uninteresting. Unfortunately the director or producer(s) chose to focus more on Kate Mulgrew's character and the scandal that is brewing with a major defense contractor. It just really doesn't work. But I always catch the first half of the film whenever it's on.

Review: Fantastic! This film is no doubt one of the greatest action- adventure titles of the 1980's. I have enjoyed this film several times, and it never grows stale with its ingenious combination of comedy and action. I highly recommend this title to anyone!

Review: FRED WARD AND JOEL GREY PLAYED OFF EACH OTHERS CHARACTERS FOR A GREAT LITTLE MOVIE THE PLOT WAS EASY TO FOLLOW AND THE MARTIAL ARTS SEGMENTS WERE FUN TO WATCH TOO BAD IT NEVER BECAME A SERIES MAYBE NOT ACADEMY AWARD STUFF BUT GOOD SATURDAY AFTERNOON VIEWING

Summary: Move Over MR. Bond---Here comes Remo Willams
Review: A great cheesy mid 80's action flick--Replete with bad acting, cliched dialouge and perhaps one of the most blatant racial stereotypes to appear in any movie. Despite all this it was still perhaps the most entertaining movie EVER: it makes no atempt at seriousness its just pure fun. Great for a bunch of nearly braindead teenagers...Like me and my friends. Buy it rent it whatever just get your hand on this "motion picture" I promise you will not be dissapointed--ENJOY!
