Summary: This isn't Star Trek material
Review: This movie was so bad compared to other Star Trek movies. This is why people look at Star Trek and call it boring. They try to mix romance with science fiction and it DON'T WORK! If you want a good Star Trek movie, go buy one of the first eight(except for the final frontier).

Summary: Great movie....
Review: This movie was great, not the best in the series, but a great movie by its self, excellent story ans casting and special effects....Great job Paramount

The only problem I had was with the little 10-minute behind the scenes featurette, i mean come on, a little bit more please!! For those of you who don't know this is the same featurette that was and probably still is on the STInsurrection website, paramount didn't really put any effort into this.

Summary: Over all it was ok
Review: This was a good Movie. But no movie can beat The Wrath of Khan, and First Contact. I would recomend it for a family to watch as long as everybody is over 8.

Summary: What A Show
Review: This movie is a great movie. But for those who are hoping for the fast paced excitement as in First Contact you will dissapointed in it. But if you just want a change of pace then this is your cup of tea. The storyline at first as one-liner weak attempts at humor and a slow begining but after we get through all this it leads to a very thought provoking script with the corruption of powers. The action scenes are very well done but what i hoped for was a little more space action but the special effects are amazing the performances are good also and i like the music from Jerry Goldsmith although i think he is getting a little old at star trek i think that he nonethe less provides great action music but maybe for the 10th film they should bring back James Horner or Cliff Edielman because there scores for eariler films were excellent.

Summary: Star Trek... again
Review: Another great Star Trek flick, not as great as the first two (First Contact/Generations) but great to have in your collection!

Summary: An expensive episode
Review: It was easy to tell that during the seventh and final season of TNG that the series was winding down. The stories became a little bit more introspective and seemed to focus on a different character every week. This movie would have fit nicely in the seventh season. Basically a Picard episode with great special effects that really come to life with the 5.1 audio and Digital picture. Die hards will like it. Luke warm Trekkies won't, and if you don't like Star Trek - don't bother. I agree that bonus scenes and documentaries would make this a must have, but as is - it's a nice to have.

Summary: An Average Film.
Review: This was an average film on the whole. I don't believe it was as good as some of the other preceding Star Trek film. Not bad, but not great either.

Summary: I love it!
Review: This is my favorite Star Trek movie out of the them all (besides the Voyage Home one). I liked the Baku. I liked their philosophy. I liked how the movie invites you to look deeper than the surface flash. It may disappoint those who looking for the violence and anger in First Contact or in other Star Trek movies; but I enjoyed the movie the first time I saw it in the theater. And I liked it more each time I saw it on video.

Summary: Lighthearted and Finally Brings back the FUN!
Review: I was a little hesitant to see this (the odd numbered curse) but I loved it! Finally the fun is back! What on earth is wrong with a little humor?? So there were not a whole lot of battle scenes, who cares? I remember ST was supposed to be more than just a space shoot 'em up..it was supposed to be more thoughtful and adventurous, and yes, even HUMOR. The characterizations and acting were great - you could see that everyone had fun doing this movie. I loved the Riker/Troi subplot, and I really liked the fact that Data didn't have the emotion chip (Data was always more interesting with a purely android perspective) I liked the fact that Picard had let loose a little (what's wrong w/a little mambo, is he supposed to only listen to Beethoven's 5th?). I also loved the fact that yes the Fed has flaws and that it was up to a few good men (and women) to put things to right. What did the orig ST say? "Absolute power corrupts absolutely." Like so many other gov'ts, the Fed has to look to itself and make sure it still represents justice, not just power. This isn't the first time either, remember Undiscovered Country? Also, I'm glad there were no Borg!! Does every bad guy have to be the Borg? Tiresome. And you run the risk of making the Borg into a 1D enemy, like the Klingons became in the original. All in all, thank God ST is back - the lightheartedness, the ethics, the characters, everything!
