Summary: A second try-a second failure!
Review: "Young Guns II" is,sorry to say, about as exciting and remarkable as "Young Guns"-that is,not at all.Sometimes modern westerns just don`t make it work, and unfortunately, this is one of those times. The greatest problem here is a complete lack of attitude.
Neither director nor actors seem to have any opinion whatsoever of the story they`re telling, nor any feelings for it,none that come across to the viewers anyway. This story has been told much better, for instance in Gore Vidal`s "Billy the Kid".This is NOT a movie you have to watch!

Summary: A great companion piece to the original!
Review: Billy and the surviving Regulators from Young Guns are back, and this time they've got even more trouble on their heels. With the additon of Alan Ruck and Christian Slater (in a show stealing performance as "Arkansas" Dave Rudebaugh) they've got to elude the feds and former friend Pat Garrett. The goal is Mexico and they've got a long way to go... Emilio Estevez again plays Billy the Kid to perfection, Lou Diamond Phillips the always spiritual, handy with a knife, Chavez and Kieffer Sutherland as the reformed, but still quick with the gun Doc.

This time around there is a substantial amount of nudity (well, at least for a PG-13 rating), great shoot outs, and a healthy dose of irony laced comedy. The story is actually much stronger here than in the original and in many ways Young Guns II is far superior to it's forbearer. But it wouldn't make much sense without seeing Young Guns first! A must for Western fans and for anyone who grew up during the 80's and 90's!

Summary: Young Guns II: Truly In The Blaze Of Glory
Review: Emilio Estevez returns as the smart-mouthed yet fast-drawing William H. Bonny, now much better known as Billy the Kid. Billy, one of three survivors of the shootout in the climax of the original Young Guns film. To start off the movie, Billy rescues his friends, Doc Shurlock (Kiefer Sutherland) and Chavez (Lou Diamond Phillips) from a miserable western town. But as the trio attempts to gallop on horseback all the way back to Old Mexico, a federal posse led by none other than the traitor Pat Garrett (William Petersen) is in hot pursuit, and the stakes are high as Billy battles his way through a ton of barriers... ultimately ending in a mysterious ending: did Billy the Kid survive?

Summary: everyone loves a good story
Review: I have seen both movies and I think this is my favorite of the two.
This movie made me read a slew of books on Billy the Kid and recently visit New Mexico for 5 weeks with two things in mind.
Visit Lincoln and Ft. Sumner to see Billy's "grave".
I say "grave" cause it still remains a mystery and I dont care really. I drove 130 miles to see it and Ft. Sumner.
In the movie Ft. Sumner has a mountain behind it, in real life there are NO MOUNTAINS AROUND AT ALL!
I suppose this makes for more interesting scenery for movie goers but if the facts and dialog can't be accurate, then I think the setting should try to be.
I drove into the town of Lincoln right before dark.
The movie town looked nothing like it, it appeared wider.
I said, "It's so tiny."
But I have to go along with my review of YG1 by adding, IT'S HOLLYWOOD.
These men believer!
You really feel the bond between Billy and his partners.
When Chavez goes off to die, it's heartbreaking to watch.
Pat Garrett is a man torn and tries everything he can to spare his friend.
PALS Means PALS.
Pals is on one of the head stones at Ft. Sumner.
Weather he is there is anybodys guess...........

Summary: It's fun
Review: I love this movie. It is fun! Emilio Estevez as Billy dances around and clicks his heels. He is great. From my research project in high school American History sparked by the Young Guns movies, the friendship and conflict between Billy and Pat Garrett is accurately portrayed. It's sad to watch Billy's friends get picked off one by one.

You really need to see the first Young Guns to understand the intricacies of the struggle between the regulators and the law. Is Brushy Bill really Billy?? Bon Jovi's Blaze of Glory encapsulates the Young Guns story. I recommend both of the Young Guns for your collection-especially if you're interested in the Wild West.

Summary: I Can Make You Famous
Review: I saw this movie for the first time the other day. I really like it. I have to have this movie now. I was expecting it to be cold and bloody but some of it was actually touching. Everyone should see this movie!

Summary: better then the first
Review: I think this is better then the first one. with an allstar cast you can cut with a knife. you got your Emilio Estevez, Christian Slater, Kiefer Sutherland, Alan Ruck, Viggo Mortensen, Lou Diamond Phillips and your William Petersen. with more roust um up action and gunplay. Slater stands out in this entire movie and Im just glad he made it out alive. though did they have to kill off Kiefer and Lou, come on man. packs a screaming wallop. yeeehaw, ride um cowboys.

Summary: Young Guns II
Review: It doesn't matter if you like westerns or not, this movie is entertaining. I never enjoyed a western till I saw the 1st Young Guns and then the 2nd. The cast are all well known actors and really bring the characters to life. The way Emilio Estevez plays Billy The Kid as a cocky smart guy is really humorous. The film quickly became one of my all time favorites.
