Summary: Move Over Karr & Christine...The Car is back on the road!
Review: When I first saw this movie, it was during the wee hours of the morning, and it was on TV. To say the least, it scared me to death. Now that was the "edited for tv" version. This IS WAY better, still love the horn, and the roar of the engine as it speeds by. Now if you are a Knight Rider fan, the cars "ending" was used in the first apperance of "Karr" (Knights All Roving Robot). They used the stock from this movie, to represent Karr flying off the cliff to his end to his destruction as well.

I am glad to see The Car on video, outstanding quality. I prefer the "wide screen" because it shows more of what is going on around in the scene. Huge difference then the one I saw on TV.

Anyways, this is a great movie for all you "Machines vs. Man" horror movies. And I guess you could call this movie "The Grandfather Of Christine".

Summary: I also read the book
Review: Yeah, the car rocks. I wish I could drive a car like that so i could intimidate everyone on the road. No one can see me while I see everyone else. I love the camera angles and the demonic roar of the engine. The ending is totally original too. Viva La Car.

Summary: Finally This Crazy Film Comes To Home Video!
Review: I saw this film for the first time when I was 10 - It scared the crap out of me... I've waited along time for the video. Seeing it now (22 years later) it makes me laugh. I still find it creepy however when the wind starts blowing before The Car makes an appearance. Good Fun, Good Humor, and Cheap Thrills.

Summary: Definitely "THE BADDEST" killer car to this day!!
Review: The first time I saw this movie it was in '77, I can't believe that it's finally out for sale on video. I'm still fascinated by the car's design. I couldn't figure out the make until I watched the video a few times. The car is awesome and I want to know what kind of motor is in it. This is my all time favorite demon-car movie. I love it, I love it, I love it!!!!!

Summary: I can't wait to see it again
Review: I thought it was very intrigging, it makes you not want to leave your seat. You feel like you are actually a part of the movie.

Summary: I love the car, and the engine and Doris Dowling
Review: The Car is Awesome, but there are parts that are bad like abuse that is awful but most of all I laughed when he came to the parade and scared the crap out of everyone. The scary part is when the wind blows, it's a sign he is near.

Summary: Wahooooo!
Review: My friends! Comrades! I too have been nagging my local video store owner about this forgotten gem for years! I thought I was alone in my obsession with this "bad but good" flick! And now I can see that we are many. Long live the cult of "The Car"!

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: IT'S SILLY, BUT I ENJOYED IT
Review: Goofy JAWS-wannabe from the late 70's finally gets its long overdue video release. The mere fact it was unavialble for so long made it a "must have' to many, and now that it's out, I've finally gotten to see it and I must say I had fun. There are even some really intresting, well done scenes and the car itself is a great character. The transfer of the DVD is very good, with 16x9 enhancement for those of you with that sort of thing, and a trailer. Missing is the audio commentary by James Brolin & director Elliot Silverstein, which I really would have loved to hear, but you can't have everything. Anchor Bay and Lustig have done a good job on this one.
