Review: during the Reagan Era it was Russia this and Russia that.so the COnservative Sylvester Stallone plays that up here in this film.and the results are very Predictable.skip it.

Summary: The low point of the series
Review: I seem to be in the minority here , but Rocky 4 is the absolute low point in this otherwise great series. There is absolutely nothing new about this film that we haven't already seen in the other Rocky films. Rocky trains hard and wins. Yawn. The death of Apollo Creed was an insult to the character. If Apollo dies in 2 rounds how can Rocky stay alive for 15 rounds? Some would argue that it was the training but you can't train yourself to become immune to punches. There was absolutely no character developemnt , and Rocky was completely out of character the whole film. This film is out of line with the series--Rocky is about a fighter from the streets of Philly who has a quest for self respect and redmeption. This is a revenge tale full of anti-Soviet propoganda.Movie making by the numbers completely--Apollo dies , Rocky trains , Rocky wins. What a shock. If you like formulaic predictable movies with very little story and no character development coupled with Cold War propoganda--this is your movie. On a better note , the training monatges and final fight scene were excellent.

Summary: Even Apollo Can't Save This Lame Excuse For a Movie
Review: The only reason this film gets two stars instead of one is Apollo Creed. Apollo dancing to "Living in America" to warm up the crowd before a fight makes this movie worth seeing. Otherwise, this sequel is a bomb. Rocky's training sequence is pretty cool, but it does not change the fact that Dolph Lundren, a man who makes insurance seminars seem exciting by comparison, plays the opponent. The series reaches an all-time low when an arena filled with Russians begins fervently cheering for Rocky to overcome one of their own countrymen. Puh-lease!

Review: ROCKY WATCHES HIS FRIEND APPOLO CREED DIE IN AN EXIBITION MATCH,AGAINST BOXER IVAN DRAGO.ROCKY AGREES TO A MATCH IN RUSSIA AGAINST DRAGO TO RECLAIM APPOLO CREEDS HONOUR.ROCKY EXISTS AS A PIECE OF IRON TO HIS OPPONENT AS HE TAKES BLOW AFTER BLOW, BUT REFUSES TO STAY DOWN. EVENTUALLY ROCKYS DETERMINATION WINS OVER DRAGO AND THE SOLVIET REPUBLIC BUT AT AN INCREDIBLE PRICE.

Summary: A great choice for a story for Rocky 4
Review: well what can i say Stallones done it again but this time ur all thinking whats with the high-tec stuff and everything which combines in it well after the 3 Rocky movies u saw the italion stallian go through the ups and downs and basically something new had to arise to boast a reason for it to be a good movie action was becoming ever popular so stallone turned to an action drama to stay up with the 80's expectations and introducing Dolph Lundgreen as Drago. I live in the UK in a city called Leeds im 21 and my bro whos 28 watched this at pictures and he says till this day he hasnt seen the cinema the day it was like when Rocky 4 was released in the UK it was pact people queing for at least 2 miles crowded in and out police were there ambulances were there even the fire brigade i mean as crazy as it sounds people who watched the movie were standing up sitting on the steps also the company basically let as many people as they could and nobody stayed quiet as soon as the intro began people were screaming women wooing the first time in history ever and when the training began and the fight started it got worse but the company MGM cinemas didnt seem bothered at the least the cinema was packed and even my driving instructor say hes never experienced at what he did when he went with my bro to see Rocky 4 i mean people were like the crowds at a real boxing match they didnt stay quiet all i can say stallone once again shows patronism in all his movies hes better than Willis and Arnie at least u can relate some part of ur life to the Rocky movies like most people did. AND STALLONES PULLED IT OFF AGAIN THIS FILM DOESNT LOOSE ITS TOUCH AND STILL LOOKS IN DATE OVER A DECADE LATER

Summary: A TALE ABOUT A PERSISTANT WORRIOR
Review: tHIS IS ONE OF THE GREATEST MOVIES OF ALL TIME.It is sucha an honor to be able to write a review on this film. It made me laugh cry and just feel great. it should be rated a 29 out of 5 not just a 5. I f you love good films watch this it is a heart filled uplifting movie that should of got all of the grammy awards.It is a realistic tale about a warior who went through poverty hard times and was a great husband this is a truly uplifting flick you must see it or you havn't sceen the best film known to man. THE other ones including Rocky# 1,2,3 &5 are a awsome as this one is. I am telling you if you are having a rough time see this and you will feel better and uplifted. These wovies were introduced by my mother when I was about 9 or 10 and I watched it over and over and memorized parts it is a good film but dont take my word for it go rent it & if you are like me you will watch it over and over and then buy the collection. GOD BLESS THIS MOVIE

Summary: An informative portrait of the cold war.
Review: i love this movie. I can watch it again and again. When i first saw i was just attracted to the fighting seens but there's so much more. The dialogue and body language of this movie is fabulous. I mean when Ivan Draga says "if he dies, he dies." in those words alone it summirizes the inhuman qualites of the soviet empire. Since he is the personfication of the soviet union, Ivan presents a formidable exterior, but is not really that great of a fighter if some one just stood up to him. Also the training sequence is very important in this movie. Rocky trains mostly by himself, an expression of the indvidualism that is the hallmark of america. On the other hand Ivan's training is a great example of the collectivism and central planning that was the staple of the USSR. I would reccomend any student of the cold war this film. Fun and informative.

Review: To me, Rocky IV is the greatest movie ever. I love the training scenes, the music, and the emotional of this great action film! If there's ever a Rocky VI, I insist it on being successful, unlike Rocky V.
