Summary: Should have included a Field Seqential 3-D version!
Review: Not that many people are aware of the Field Sequential 3-D.
This is a 3-D TV system that uses special shutter glasses that can be purchased here through Amazon in a set that includes 3 DVD's using this process. This system Is the only way to view a 3-D film effectively on TV to date. The result is about 90% close to the effect you will see in a theatre showing.. like IMAX and Disney and Universal.
These glasses are made of sturdy plastic and clear not these cardboard red and blue pieces of garbage, so you can view the film without constricted to seeing red and blue colors and with this system you will see more actual 3-D depth with the films true colors.. It's really amazing!
For some add reason the big studios haven't adapted to include a separate version of a 3-D title in this great format.
Films like:
"House of Wax","Kiss Me Kate","Friday the 13th Part 3", "Robot Monster, "Cat Woman on the Moon", "Creature from the Black Lagoon" and "Jaws 3" are all now in 2-D DVD, but were originally shown in 3-D and could have been included using the Field Seqential 3-D system on the same disc with the 2-D version.
In Japan in the late 80's there were a few 3-D titles released using Field Sequential and can be found on e-bay converted to DVD and VHS.
Why aren't the studios producing these now!
I boycott any film DVD release that was originally intended to be seen in 3-D that's only presented in a 2-D version or anaglyph (Red and Blue Glasses).

Especially this terrible movie should have included 3-D!
The studios should really be awaken to this great 3-D system.

Summary: Not bad for a 3rd sequel
Review: I saw this movie yesterday and it is really good. Part of it was 3D and part of it wasn't. Some of it scared me so much I left the room!! Great film, if you think about it. For my rating, the fourth Jaws was good. Keep shopping!!!!

Summary: lives up to the last 2 and even shocks more
Review: glad I saw this on tv many times
the creepiest scene to me
is when the shark is coming at them really slowly as they're inside that holding thing and you hear the slow creepy music
and then BAM! the glass shatters and they're all underneath the water
truly horrifying
I am so getting this on dvd
when I can
it's another classic to the jaws series
it never let me down
it shocked the hell out of me if anything
it made me laugh too cuz there is some humor in these jaws movies and I like that

Summary: Almost too far
Review: Ok, ok. There are a handful of films whose sequals are better than the original. Unfortunately, Jaws III isn't one of them. The original Jaws is the best (a classic!), the second wasn't so bad, and this one is ok. (The fourth reeks terribly...) But this one did leave me wondering...that's it? It's kinda lacking in substance (hence the PG rating), but all in all, it's on ok movie.

Summary: Jaws 3 is not that bad!
Review: It kicked ass in 3D, and anyone who would think that the later installment Jaws The Revenge is better, is obviously a moron of epic proportions.

Summary: The third dimension is awfulness.
Review: Oh dear is this film bad? Jaws is a classic, Jaws II is a strong, worthy sequel but this drek is just so pathetic. Though I must say it's nowhere near as bad as the notorious Jaws The Revenge.

In the space of 5 years the Brody kids have gone from kids to total grown-ups. Dennis Quaid is Michael and he now works at Sea World (one would imagine he would have a fear of the water by now) in Florida. They've just opened up their Undersea Kingdom (y'know those glass tunnels) and ignorant park owner Calvin Bouchard (Academy Award winner Louis Gosset Jnr. at the start of his downward spiral) is so full of himself he doesn't even realise a massive Great White Shark has snuck into the lagoon and plans to munch on divers, swimmers, skiers etc. Luckily for them a renegade naturalist (Simon MacCorkindale from TV's Casuality-looking EX-ACT-LEE like Thomas Jane) is hanging around to convince everyone that getting in the water to torment/trap/catch the poor beast is the best idea. His fate is firmly sealed as soon as he opens his mouth. Which is a bit of rip-off considering he risks his life many times through-out the film and Calvin Bouchard jeopardises so many but escapes un-eaten.

The shark coverage is down right terrible. The underwater photography sucks and is badly spliced with stock footage of sharks that look nothing like the clumsy foam rubber monster in the close-ups. The 3-D effects come off as the WORST you will ever see. Even in plain-old 2-D you can see that they were pretty much the most unimaginative and unsubtle attempts at reaching the audience ever. Even the 3-D tricks in Friday the 13th Part 3 were much more fun and natural than this.

I first saw Jaws III on ITV years ago. It's best to see it on the new DVD as the 2.35:1 picture adds loads to the sides of the frame for those of you who suffered the pan and scan video. Plus there is a few extra gory shots that ITV and some video releases saw fit to censor. But the picture quality is real nasty with some dirty grainy scenes and annoyingly soft focus others. The sound is simple Dolby Stereo but don't expect any Oscar winning sound mixes this time. Even John Williams shark theme is all but vanished and some guy called Alan Parker's score is generic and unengaging.

Extra feature(s) consist of a trailer (methinks originally in 3-D shown before Friday the 13 Part 3 began, in the previous summer). And then there's something Universal call 'Recommendations'. Click on it and what do you get? Still photos of the DVD covers of the other Jaws movies. Duh, thanks! The only interesting thing about this film is the fact that Sea World actually allowed their name and logo to be defamed in such a ludicrous way. Jaws may have been born into greatness but it died very, very quickly as a franchise. Now Jason Voorhees has lasted much, much, MUCH longer and the first Friday the 13th film was hardly a masterpiece.

Never underestimate the underdog.

Summary: Well, at least we see a floating arm?
Review: I saw this in the theater with my dad and brother. We had our 3-D glasses and we thought we were in for the thrill of a lifetime. Even at 12 I was scratching my head. I asked myself "Did the shark just open up the cage with it's tail?"

To make a long story short, a great white shark invades a Sea WOrld type amusement park. Check out the shark as it chases waterskiers in a show.

The blond in this movie was pretty hot and I thought for years that the black guy was Lou Gosset Jr.

Summary: A classic Film
Review: This is by far one of the best movies ever released. This is perhaps the best in the Jaws series. The shark looks so realistic. I loved this film. Don't be fooled by the critics, just watch it and you will know what I am talking about.

Summary: You're Gonna Need a Better Writer
Review: Hello, everyone! Welcome to Seaworld! Oh, by the way, I want to mention that there is a man-eating shark in our facilities, and will be dealt with shortly. We have a 3-D attraction today, and-oh...what? It's not in 3-D? Oh well, you all can just sit back, relax and enjoy the show anyway, even though some parts may look stupid without the glasses. Oh, look there! The skiers and other members of our show are being eaten alive! That's ok, the show must go on...Ah, there's Dennis Quaid and Lea Thompson, and ...Lou Gossett Jr.? Really? Wow. What are they doing here? Aren't they afraid of ruining their reputations? I'm sure in the future they will never again mention they were here after this ungodly mess is over. Well, that's it for our tour...I know, it was a pretty crappy tour, wasn't it? Well, what did you expect based on what's going on here?...Enjoy the rest of your visit and don't forget to make a donation on the way out!
