Summary: What the..???!!!!
Review: Sopranos star James Gandolfini as one of Christopher Walken's goons?
Brad Pitt as Floyd, the wacky pot-smoking roomie? Val Kilmer as the ghost of Elvis? There is no way this movie could get made today!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Brilliant !!!
Review: This movie is a real mix of action, romance and comedy but I think the key to it are some of the great cameos by people like Dennis Hopper, Christopher Walken and Val Kilmer.

I would recommend this movie to anyone ! 5 stars !

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: A Good movie, not a great one
Review: This movie could have been great, the cast list was excellence as was the acting quality, the storyline was decent and humerous but it just wasn't realistic.

I mean when James Gandolfini was in Arquette's hotel room, she should have been finished of- no questions asked. A wrestler wouldn't have been able to get up after such an onslaught never mind a bimbo.

The ending was great but being shot in the eye doesn't just mean you wear an eye-patch, it means your 6 feet under or at least have some kind of brain damage.

The scillians where great and when they where interviewing the father- well that was funny but i wouldn't have liked to be a black person in a theatre with everyone laughing.

A decent movie, well worth watching but noway as good a s Pulp FICTION.

Summary: Excellent, Underated and Often Unfairly Overlooked
Review: True Romance is one of those great films that was rather unfairly and bizarrely largely ignored on it's original theatrical release but it's really hard to know why. It's not because of the script/screenplay, that was written by the great Quentin Tarantino, with all the trademark flourishes you'd expect, with witty dialogue and great set-pieces that leave you quoting them for weeks. It's not because it's got a poor cast or poor acting. Apart from the leads, Christian Slater and the wonderful Patricia Arquette (in undoubtedly their greatest screen performances), this movie has a cast list like a whose who of great screen actors; Dennis Hopper, Gary Oldman and Christopher Walken. It also boasts a great cameo performance from Brad Pitt and a superb supporting performance from (the then not so famous) James Gandolfino. Val Kilmer and Samuel L. Jackson even turn up too in blink and you'll miss it performances.

This is a great movie, a cool movie, a funny movie and an action movie. Directed by Tony Scott, one of the best (if not the best) action movie directors around, True Romance is the story of Alabama (Arquette) and Clarence (Slater) young newlywed lovers on the run with a stolen suitcase full of $5m worth of the mafia's coke, which they intend to sell. But as the old saying goes, the path to true love never runs smooth and a battle of wits ensues between Clarence, the police and the mob leading to a classic finale in this action packed film. As a whole, this movie works beautifully but on DVD it's even better because you can access all your favourite classic scenes that unmistakeably bare Tarantino's hallmark again and again. Such as the opening scene where the heterosexual Clarence (Slater) states that he'd sleep with Elvis if he were still alive, or the showdown between Clarence and dreadlocked gangster (Oldman). Or the showdown between the mob boss (Walken) and Clarence's Dad (Hopper). Classic scenes indeed, particularly the one with Walken and Hopper. It's hard to believe this movie was made back in 1993 because it's still as fresh, still as cool and still looks as enjoyable as it was back then. I just love this movie and if you haven't seen it yet I hope you will too.

Summary: obsession (suggestion watch it over and over again or a lot)
Review: (a great title for this flick) Me, being of a somewhat newer generation, didn't think I'd like this movie from the title alone, but as soon as I read the description, I knew I;d love it. Drugs, prostitution, freedom, and most of all true love; you can't get much better than that. I want to give it four and a half stars. I loved it so much I recorded it & have been watching the movie at least once a day the past few weeks. The two have such a wonderful chemistry together and the cameos are great as well. Everything about this movie is practically perfect; except I'd change the first minute and last minute and a little of the music. It only fits some of the scenes' like at his dads house, the pimp's pad, the telephone booth. Its true romance: reminds me of Sid and Nancy or Bonnie and Clyde except better sometimes. Theres just some sort of feeling this movie captured so wonderfully that most films leave out. Love it. Its good for both the guys and the chics out there. Yea, man, Its obsession worthy...

Summary: Director's Cut, of course!
Review: True Romance is one of those movies that has a scene for everybody, I think. Walken and Hopper have a great interaction that pits perception against trivia, and the outcome is truly heroic. Gary Oldman is just frighteningly adept, and I had to read the credits to realize who he was. Summing up the acting, it was all great.

The plot is really entertaining, in a "What if..?" style. Of course it requires the suspension of disbelief, but what else are movies for? The story is energetic, and all of the characters are interesting. Especially Floyd (played by someone perfect for that part).

Someone complained about all the cameos, but I find those entertaining. I also happen to think that so many people appeared in this movie because they read the script and REALLY wanted to have their names associated with it. Would not surprised me at all. As well, all the cameos give the average watcher (I've observed, anyway) something to look for and notice. It's always exciting and pleasing to recognize an actor on the screen. :)

Wanting to check my opinion of this movie, I watched it with my beloved snuggle-babe, and she thought it was awesome. I told her that I thought this was one of the most romantic movies I'd seen in a long time, and she agreed with me. Either we're both twisted, or both really perceptive. No matter which, check it out for yourself. If you liked Pulp Fiction, The Replacement Killers and/or Tombstone, you'll probably enjoy this.

Summary: This Movie Rocks!!!
Review: Simply put: this movie rocks!!! Everyone in it is absolutely awesome. It definitely keeps you guessing and on the edge of your seat. Patricia Arquette and James Gandolfini deserve Oscars or some kind of award just for their scene together. Magnificent film making!

Summary: Star-Studded Cast (duh!)
Review: I would have paid to watch the cast of this movie read the back of a cereal box. Lucky for me, Christian Slater, Patricia Arquette, James Gandolfini, Christopher Walken, Val Kilmer, Michael Rappaport, Bronson Pinchot, Dennis Hopper, Samuel L. Jackson, Saul Rubinek and Brad Pitt are all actors in this movie with a SUPERB plot, great script and good soundtrack. Yeah, it's a road-trip, cops-and-robbers, shoot-em-up drama, but it's title is true as well- True Romance is a love story as well. Basically, it has something and someone for everyone- which is why I gave this movie five stars!

Summary: A KICK A$$ MOVIE! very violent though
Review: nothing can describe this movie other than as a kick a$$ film. It is cool, hip and fun to watch. Although some parts are very violent it is still very entertaining. Written by Quinton Tarantino (pulp fiction, jakie brown, resevuiar dogs) it is even beter. The story starts out with Christian Slatter (Very bad things) and Patricia Arquette (flirting with disaster, A nightmare on Elm ST part 3) as the love bug couple. OH its a nice quiet film untill Christian slatter desides to mess with Alabama's (partricia arquette)former pimp Gary oldman. Boy that makes a mess of things! also with Val Kilmer, Dennis Hopper, Brad Pitt, Chrispher Walken and Samuel L. Jackson this movie awsome to watch! Directed by Tony scott this movie a masterpiece. the only thing that did make me a little puzzled about this film was one scene where Patricia Arquette was violently getting beat up. Rated R for Strong violence, lauguge and some sexuality this movie deserves 4 stars!--dillhead005

Summary: One of my top ten
Review: What happens when a common, loner, Bruce Lee fan, comic book seller meets up w/ a hot blonde call-girl? They end up shooting FBI agents and Drug Dealers and run away w/ a hell lot of dollars. Don't believe me? Well, watch the movie! Simply brilliant.
Did anyone read the original Tarantino's script? Well, the bullet reaches those two inches and Clarance dies. Alabama get all the money and no Elvis Junior is born. I love QT, I mean, he's my hero, but in this case I really think that Tony Scott did a good job for the ending. Sorry Quent!
