Summary: Dying to watch this one
Review: The Two Towers has much much more action than Fellowship, and the third one has even more action. But that one releases in 2003,so Im dying to see this one.I do hope they are faithful to the book, and I would like to see Eowyn and Faramir and Eomer get their proper focus.I love them all..and incase anyone hasn't read the book, please do.You'll love the film even more!!

Summary: No no no....
Review: This is just for the trailer, it looks amazing, and lets leave it at that. As for the guy that says gollum will look... cause it's completely CGI'd, well, good news my friend, Gollum is actually a guy in one of those motion capture suits, then is in a gollum suit later on, and they just kind of CGI around him.
And to make it even better they actually have the guy doing Gollums voice in the suit so there won't be any... voice dubbing. Hoorah...hey, what's the deal with the word "won't"?, isn't it a dimmed down word for will not?....wouldn't it be win't?...I give the word "won't" 1 outta 5 stars

Summary: Going to be the best movie of 2002
Review: I've read the Trilogy, and The Two Towers has much more action, and a lot more things happen throughout the second book because the characters have been separated. This makes the Two Towers much more exciting than the first.

Summary: All the footage points to "great"
Review: Before everyone clicks the "unhelpful" button, think about the fact that this review is about how all the footage of The Two Towers that I've seen looks.
SPECIAL EFFECTS: 9/10 While SFX have been sparse in the trailers, what is shown(Gandalf lighting up, Uruk-Hai being thrown) looks excellent- hopefully I will someday change this rating to a 10.
ACTING: 10/10 Dramatic and real, you feel the emotion that the actors give off that makes you want to see the movie RIGHT NOW.
DIRECTION: 9/10 Very good, there are some tricky shots that were pulled off. This movie is going to be visually stunning.
SCORE: 10/10 Howard Shore's score is brilliant, perfectly fits the scenes with original themes.
My Grade: A

Summary: I can`t hardly wait...
Review: Well, if there is anything negative I have to say about "The Lord of The Rings" movie trilogy, it is that it almost feels like a pity we have to wait for almost an entire year to see the next movie (and the GOOD DVD!!!).
Well, having now seen the first movie, read all three books, and seen the teaser trailer for this movie, I`m pretty sure Jackson & Co will do everything well with the second installment of the saga, too.
Jackson said in an interview that the famous (for the fans of the books)Battle of Helm`s Deep is going to be a 45-minute action sequence, with no interrupts!
I promise you all, this ain`t going to be like anything we`ve ever seen on the big screen before.
In short : Peter Jackson is the king of Hollywood and LORD OF THE RINGS ROCKS!!!!!

Summary: Tower of Power
Review: As with all of the previous reviews, I'm chomping at the bit for The Two Towers to be released. After seeing Fellowship of the Ring, I enjoyed the movie, but I think that so much can be lost if the book is not read, since they in general are better than the movie. Lo and behold how accurately Jackson stuck with the book, which is, after all, one of the greatest works of fiction of the century. Only Tom Bambadil stands as left in out among major characters. The Two Towers, if a comparison may be drawn, seems a lot like Empire Strikes Back (I love Star Wars too) in that it's grittier, darker, and moodier than the first installment. The Battle at Helms' Deep looks to be a highlight, and I look forward to meeting Eomer and Theoden. I will not spoil the ending, even though I much anticipate the emotion that the actors will use in that scence. It's truly one of the most heart-rending in the whole story. Most of all, Gollum, who was rarely seen in Fellowship, plays a MAJOR role in the second tale. I really want to see if the develop him as much as I'd like...he'll be an interesting character to watch. From the trailer itself, and not just the books, the Battle at Helms' Deep looks awesome. A veritable sea of orcs, 10,000 strong against thousands of men. A best of all, in the middle of this turbulent battle, Legolas and Gimli have a contest going on, lol! Watch the previews, buy your tickets way ahead of time, arrive way ahead of time, and feast your eyes on what's sure to be one of the year's best movies!

Summary: In response to fans of this series who despise Harry Potter.
Review: Let's face it - Harry Potter and The Lord of the Rings are two completely different stories, so why is everyone always trying to compare them and choose between the two? Personally, I love BOTH series! I also love Star Wars and Spider-Man, so enough with the comparing and choosing, already! Seeing the trailer for both Harry Potter's next sequel, "Chamber of Secrets", and The Lord of the Rings's next sequel, "The Two Towers", I'd say both films will be excellent! I can't wait for both films to be out, since I saw the last two films for each series and loved them, as well as the books of course. Though I really cannot write a review until I've actually SEEN "The Two Towers", I can easily tell you that if you liked "The Fellowship of the Ring" then you should definitely catch this one in theaters. And basically I'm just writing this to speak up about fans of The Lord of the Rings hating Harry Potter and the fans of Harry Potter hating The Lord of the Rings. You are not a "true fan" of one of the series if you hate the other. So go see "The Two Towers" December 18th, and while you're waiting for that, you should definitely check out "Chamber of Secrets", opening November 15th.

Summary: How many more days til Dec 18?!!!
Review: After seeing The Fellowship of the Ring more than a dozen times and sitting with eyes widened and glued to the screen during The Two Towers trailer, all I can say is Hurry December!! Please hurry!! (I have already preorderd the theater cut that will be out in August and the Extended collector's edition due out in November...hopefully this will help the time pass a bit faster!)For not having read the books, the gentleman who wrote the review on the trailer seems to have a good grip on the story and like so many of us 'Ringers' seems to have been bitten by the Tolkien bug! Namarie---farewell in Elvish.

Summary: Computerized Gollum
Review: Okay, I feel as if I'm talking to a bunch of my friends, because I know you are all as anxious to see "The Two Towers" as I am, but I'm a little worried...

I was impressed by the preview, and by all of the still shots that I've managed to track down online. But there's one thing that worries me, and has worried me since before "Fellowship of the Rings" came out...that being the entirely computer-generated Gollum.

Now the CGI worked in "Fellowship," but you've got to admit that they kept Gollum in the shadows for the most part...we never had to look at a CGI Gollum in the cold light of day!!! The fact is, characters in CGI rarely FEEL real, and actors who try to interact with what amounts to a computer blip usually fail! I'm not judging this movie before seeing it (I'm pretty sure I'll love it!), but the shot of Gollum crawling down the rocks in the preview did NOT impress me...it looked digital. If there was ever a character in the history of digital effects that ached to have life breathed into it, that deserved to be believable, it is Gollum. If, when Frodo is talking to Gollum in "The Two Towers," it FEELS as if he's talking to a tennis ball, or if his eyes seem to be looking in slightly the wrong direction, it could very easily kill the atmosphere, the characters, and the movie.

Lets all cross our fingers, and hope Jackson creates a digital miracle!

Summary: Preview of the Two Towers
Review: Well, before everyone starts clicking the 'no, this was not helpful' button, keep in mind this is only a review for the Two Towers TRAILOR, which I am writing since my *extreme* impatience for December 2002 means I have to occupy myself in various ways.
As most people should know, a special preview (about four minutes long) for the Two Towers is now tagged on to the end of The Fellowship of the Ring. This preview is a wonderful look at what to expect in the next Lord of the Rings movie, and creates enough excitement and suspense that it's like your seeing the entire movie condensed into a few seconds.

Whether you're rushing off to buy a movie ticket, or dismissing me as a Tolkien geek, keep in mind that I am new to the world of Tolkien - I have not yet read 'The Two Towers' or 'Return of the King', but am still enthusiastic and excited about Peter Jackson's work and am sure neither the movies nor the books will disappoint...

A noticeable difference that already exists between 'The Fellowship of the Ring' and 'The Two Towers' is that there is much more action taking place within cities and towns - more people, larger sets, bigger special effects. Just by watching the trailor one can see that 'The Two Towers' will eclipse the 'Fellowship' in terms of scale, which seems inconcievable given the huge scope of the 'Fellowship of the Ring'.

My impression of the preview was that it seemed to centre mostly around Aragorn - there was surprisingly little of Frodo. It took the time to re-establish the characters, taking off with what they all were doing at the end of the 'Fellowship of the Ring'- Aragorn, Legolas and Gimli tracking the abducted Merry and Pippen, and Sam and Frodo travelling through the desolate land of Mordor.

At one stage the trio of Legolas, Gimli and Aragorn turn around to attack someone behind them only to see - Gandalf! Yup, when Peter Jackson took suggestions from the fans as to what they wanted to see in the trailor, top of the list was Gandalf the White. Gandalf now sports a Sauruman hairstyle, and on the whole appears more powerful, more aloof.
Another highlight includes Pippen unknowingly climbing up an ent (a talking tree) which blinks an eye at him. Pippen leans down to call something to Merry, without realising he's just seen an eye in a tree before realisation hits him and his eyes widen in shock.

As well as the ents, there are shots of other new characters - Theoden, Eomer, Faramir, Wormtongue and quite a few of the maiden Eowyn, who falls in love with Aragorn and follows him into battle. Her shots are especially beautiful - one of her weeping, smiling, riding a horse across a plain, sparring determinely with Aragorn and shattering his sword, touching someone's face with tears in her eyes, running towards us up a flight of stairs, and a beautiful pan-back of her on the parapets of Endoras, the banners flapping in the breeze. This is New Zealand scenery at it's best.
Familiar characters include Arwen, Sauruman, and a grave Galadriel who tells someone off-screen - "There is nothing more we can do for Frodo. The quest will claim his life."
But the climax is the truely awe-inspiring and downright scary battle at Helms Deep. Rows upon rows of orcs roar and thump their weapons upon their shields at an army of men under a night sky in the pouring rain. Arrows fly through the air, ladders are pushed up against the walls of the citadel - chaos is everywhere. Never has a trailor sped my pulse up so much.

And then the finale - a misshapen, deformed Gollum crawling headfirst down a vertical cliff towards a sleeping Frodo and Sam, hissing - 'The filtttthy tttthievesss. They've taken our preecioussss and we wantsss it!' Frodo wakes up with a gasp before the black out.

So is it worth going to see the 'Fellowship' again to see this preview? Yes, it is. It will leave you exhilirated and anticipating 'The Two Towers' more than ever.
