Review: One of my all-time favorite "not big movies" (it's no "Casablanca" or "Lord of the Rings") I've seen this film maybe a dozen times including once in a local movie theater in the Republic of Panama when I was stationed there with the Air Force in the 80's. In Spanish, the title of this wonderful film was "Don't Shoot Me, I'm a Dentist!"

Summary: Unbreathably Funny
Review: The first time I saw this film, I embarressed my husband there were so many people turning at the shrieks of my laughter. I assure you I am otherwise saturnine, if not downright joyless. Alan Arkin and Peter Falk bring their own brilliant funniness, that `oblivious to how odd other people find them'- neurotic, style together in a chemistry that stands above all others. Imitators have failed miserably to get a comedy this perfect. This is absurdity the way it ought to be, just a little bit more nutty than life! Then, take it up a notch. Go then into the tropical, chronic war-torn dictatorship, see the insane art collection, escape, and try to get to the wedding, the one thing that unites them and sparked this odd man search and rescue hilarity.
Everyone has their favorite laugh, mine is at the introduction brunch when, at a slight comment, Falk lashes out at his son, curses and then cries for joy- as another reviewer said, I laugh writing it. You're lucky if this is your first time watching. Enjoy!
