Summary: You know what they say....first impressions last!
Review: This is not to say that I liked this movie. If your friends recommend you to see this movie, it's probably because of the fact that Jennifer Lopez is a total HOTTIE! It's best if it's OUT OF SIGHT.

Summary: If you do not like the movie give it another try
Review: It is an undisputably 5-star movie you can rate 1 star after seeing it just once. The plot is simple but when the next scene ends before the previous you get a muddled impression. It prevents you from enjoying the film in a relaxed way. But when you establish the proper sequence it's easy to appreciate this zigzag structure though it's a bit artificial. Maybe this patchwork montage was the reason the movie was not a big hit at the theaters but if you have the DVD you are guaranteed dozens of very pleasant viewings. What I like most about Out Of Sight is the sense of affinity you feel. It's a pleasureable thing to step inside George's shoes and feel noble and attractive. It's a modern fairy tale very different from You've Got Mail-type idiocy. So it's one of the best ways to invest your money - do not hesitate!

Review: I DON'T KNOW HOW THIS DVD GETS (****). MY OPINION IF YOU DON'T WATCH THIS FILM YOU DONT LOST TOO MUCH.

Summary: One of the 2 Best Films of 1998
Review: Elmore Leonard's novel becomes a great Steven Soderbergh film. Soderbergh and screenwriter Scott Frank cleverly play with the chronology of the action, and instead of seeming forced or arbitrary, the timing tricks allow us to become absorbed with a mixed bag of characters, instead of allowing the plot to propel us past them. And what a great cast: as a romantic bank robber, George Clooney has a nice worn and warm presence that plays well off the harder edges of US marshall Jennifer Lopez. They share a great scene trapped in the trunk of a getaway car, and their subsequent meetings and conversations (usually separated by a hotel lobby or a telephone connection) add to the romantic tension. The rest of the cast offers great support: Ving Rhames as Clooney's born-again bank-robbing pal; Steven Zahn as their spacey, marijuana-smoking, mental midget sometime accomplice; Dennis Farina as Lopez's father; Don Cheadle as the vicious hood that seeks to take over their planned heist of the Detroit home of Albert Brooks, memorably cheesy as the badly toupee'd millionaire. Then, just as the film reaches its climax, Nancy Allen pops in as Brooks' mistress; even though it's a small part, I was grateful to see her lovely, ironic presence. The only disappointment is that we don't have a chance to see more of Michael Keaton as Lopez's married lvoer; he has an excellent scene with Farina, which almost makes you wish to see him reappear later in the film. The film--basically a heist film--moves to an original beat, primarily because it cares more about character and atmosphere than about the heist itself, and the film's enigmatic romance is really center-stage. The film is tops in all departments, with stand-out cinematography that accents the sunny south Florida coast and the gloomy Detroit winter. Out of Sight upset Saving Private Ryan for Best Picture and Director with the National Society of Film Critics (foreshadowing Ryan's later loss to Shakespeare in Love); in this case, it's easy to see how the critics could have turned down Ryan's intensity for a genuinely off-beat, character-driven love story. Unfortunately, Out of Sight's poor box office made it an unlikely Oscar winner, although it's hard not to believe that had more Academy members bothered to see the film, it would have done better than just nominations for its screenplay and editing.

Summary: A brilliant character driven film
Review: It is to my knowledge that not one Elmore Lenard adaptation from book to screen has gone wrong and become a bad movie . Here George Clooney leaves behind the depressing mess that was Batman and Robin and actually acts well aided along by the beutiful Jennifer Lopez . However it is Steve Zahn as the nervous small time thief who steals the show (no pun intended). The oscar nominated editing is superb while the great screenplay is brutal but good . The directing is near perfect while the surporting stars lead by Ving Rhames all do there part . A marvolous score that is well conducted acompanies the film while the light outbursts of comedy and an array of star cameos give it that extra zing .

Summary: Funny , Romantic and Sexy
Review: This is one movie that had a lot of star power. George Clooney returns to normal movie bliss as Bank Robber Jack Foley, who, after just getting out of jail decides to rob another bank. Though it may seem successful it isn't and he gets into a 1981 Honda Accord Hatchback(AKA Eggcar) which doesn't work. Back to Jail He Goes. Jennifer Lopez also does a great Job as Karen Sisco, a Beautiful Federal Marshal. Dennis Farina is funny and over Protective as her Father Marshall Sisco. Also, Don Chedle makes another good movie choice(He Also Stars in the risque Boogie Nights) as Boxer and theif Maurice "Snoopy" Miller. His nickname is Snoopy because he throws his Fights to make money, even in jail. Also there is Albert Brooks as Ripley a rich Embesler who gives them all the lowdown on uncut diamonds. This funny movie also stars Michael Keaton reprising his role as Ray Nicolette ( From Jackie Brown) a strange FBI Agent who is always reveiling who he is. Memorable Scene- Karen protects herself from Snoopy's Cousin , Ex Boxer, Kenneth with a metal weapon and saying "We've Tusseled" Watch and Enjoy. Also watch out for the scene stealing White-Boy Bob

Summary: Perfect!
Review: Best film of the decade. Best DVD ever. Simple perfection. The commentary is funny, the deleted scenes are all brilliant, and the animated menus are alluring! Buy, buy, buy.

Summary: Soderbergh's best since King of the Hill
Review: Very hip, funny movie but not overly cute like Ge Shorty.Beautiful cinematography, good story, Lopez is occasionally unconvincing as an FBI agent (too dumb) but ok. Don Cheadle and Isaiah Washington are hilarious, especially Washington who we are told in the commentary actually did field research in Detroit so he could talk in Detroit slang -- which was right on. Also, commentary by Soderbergh and writer is hilarious -- both are very sarcastic and self-deprecating, and all DVD commentaries should be 2-man teams. Deleted scenes usually don't float my boat, but Out of Sight has some good ones, especially the one with Don Cheadle.

Summary: DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME!!!!!
Review: This was an over-hyped, anticlimactic movie with great actors and characters, but a glacial, and unsuspenseful pace of direction. The action was minimal, the scenes too long, and the theatrical trailer was no where to be found on the DVD! Believe me, Get Shorty was 3 times as good, and if you want a great crime caper, see L.A.Confidential. Otherwise, don't bother with Out of Sight. I can't believe I bought this.
