Summary: Oh wow, this one blew me away...
Review: An incredible masterpiece, quite simply. Stunning portrayal of Conrad's 'Heart of Darkness'.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Good Action, Good Drama, Good Overall
Review: Apocalypse now is one of those movies I could watch again and again. From one going insane captain to a insane Cononel Kurts with a fanatic helicopter force inbettween, this movie goes to many levels of the horrors of warfare.

Summary: Copola's brilliant vision explodes off the screen.
Review: The film is revolutionary and induces a state of insansity evocative of Nam itself. Brando, Dennis Hopper, Harrison Ford and of course Lawrence Fishburne star in this Doors (Morrison) imbued masterpiece of poetry, music, irony, insanity and explosive reality. If you enjoy movies that make you think and violence that elicit's a tear, this film is definitely for you.

Summary: Magnificent!
Review: Apocalypse is the rare film that combines a deaply disturbing story with decent action and entertainment. Even before I read Conrad's Heart of Darkness, I was impressed with the dark themes this film explored. After reading the book, the movie went from great to fantastic. A must see for everyone!

Summary: Apocalypse Now is pretentious rubbish !!
Review: Apocalypse Now is utterly pretentious. Coppola is a good director but this is a bad film. Conrad's Heart of Darkness is not much better with both endings being silly and tedious. The best thing about it is the cinematography and that has been bettered by films such as The Thin Red Line.

Summary: Brilliant: The best Vietnam War movie, Bar none.
Review: This is, without a doubt, my all time favorite movie. I have seen it countless times and love it every time. After viewing this masterpiece, do yourself a favor and rent "Hearts of Darkness - A Filmmaker's Apocalypse" (1991). Then, you will truly appreciate the magnitude of this awe-inspiring war epic.

Summary: Much more better than the Kramers'
Review: This is the third best film that Coppola had ever made.(Behind The Godfather 1,2)The madness of war has been displayed in a very sharp way.Platoon,The Thin Red Line,The Full Metal Jacket....All of these war movies have shown the madness. But Apocalypse Now is the best. Why did The Acadamy Awards gave Kramer vs. Kramer the best picture?Kramer vs. Kramer is a master piece, but it ain't that good as Coppola's great flick.I think The Acadamys have to think about this again. And I think It was certain that Coppola has been REAL PISSED OFF & ON in 1980.

Summary: An artistic rendering of the Viet Nam war.
Review: Apocalypse is defined as a "revelation." The film reveals the ugliness of war. To really conquer your enemy, one must become like your enemy. The US refused to fight Viet Nam on the same level as the "Cong." Brando plays a renegade officer who takes on the enemy on their terms. He is viewed as insane and must be terminated. The end of the film, as I understand, has three endings. I own two. "The End" by the Doors is the climax of the film and an artistic spectical!

Summary: Wow. This movie was amazing
Review: Apocalypse Now is a great Vetnam movie with a realistic look into the mentality, drug use, and just plain insanity of the war.
