Summary: Stylish And Entertaining.
Review: "The World Is Not Enough" proves like "Goldeneye" and "Tomorrow Never Dies" that the longest running series in movie history is ready for the 21st century. Maybe it's not as good as "Tomorrow Never Dies," but hell, "The World Is Not Enough" has a great blend of style, action, humor and beautiful women. It's intelligent and complex. The complexity is it's only flaw because sometimes it has to slow down when it shouldn't to explain all the detail in the intrigue. Still, it makes up for it's flaws. It's entertaining, keeps you guessing and has a lot of style in the settings, suits, gadgets, action sequences and yes, cars. It's visually rich in it's own way. The action isn't stupid and elevates the story. Maybe it's not as good as one expected, but it's still fun and interesting, very entertaining. I don't get the slack Denise Richards has been getting, I think she did a great job as did every other actor. "The World Is Not Enough" is original and fun, good action flick.

Review: This was my first Bond movie I ever watched, and will probably be my last. I have never seen a cornier bunch of characters in my life, heard such cheesy lines, and experienced such poor acting. At any moment I expected Dr. Evil and Mr. Biggelsworth to pop out and demand a million dollars from someone.The characters were one step above cartoon characters and were as believable as Santa Claus in Miami. They spoke their lines with almost no conviction, and you could see in their eyes that they thought the movie was a big joke. Because it was just so foolish what went on in the movie, and with the actors trying to be so serious, I think that's what made it such a bad movie. The action scenes were even more unbelievable. From the silly devices they traveled in and wore, and the impossible things they did with them, I felt that I was wasting my time. I understand where Austin Powers came from now, and I really appreciate the sheer genius in the flick. Perhaps it's just me, because judging from the long-running success the Bond series of movies has had over the decades somebody out there enjoys them. The best part of the movies was when the ending credits came on. I would give this movie -1 stars if I could.

Summary: An unpalatable mix
Review: The latest instalments in the Bond series with Pierce Brosnan (eg. "Goldeneye", "Tomorrow Never Dies") have injected new life into a genre that would have become obsolete years ago. Bond, the supersmart, supercool secret agent is an anachronism: he belongs to a bygone age in which Britain was a superpower. However, the recent films have altogether energetically (albeit with mixed results) brought him up to date. The traditionally male-centred attitude of the films is missing: Bond's superior, M, in these films is a woman. Moneypenny the secretary is no longer the dizzy chick eagerly infatuated with Bond. She gets to rebuff him and put him in his place. A new low in violence is also reached in the films. In the opening scenes of this one, he callously points a gun in a man's chest (reminiscent of one of the signature touches of John Woo) and in "Tomorrow Never Dies", he stabs a man with a knife (!) towards the end, which is highly uncharacteristic of the old Bond who is much more refined in his methods. The last reels of "The World is Not Enough" contain the carnage and destruction one would associate with the likes of Stallone and Schwarzenegger, but never with Bond. Altogether, the updating has been an uneasy and mostly unpalatable attempt at a Bond revival.

Summary: 007 goes overboard
Review: As much as I like bond films, this is one of the worst to date. Several of the action sequences are flat out unbelievable and silly. The plot is some of the craziest unimaginitive work ever put into a film. I had to force myself to sit down on three seperate occasions to finish this film! If you want a good bond film, definitley steer clear of this title. Try Goldeneye or Tommorow Never Dies.

Summary: Actually 4 and 1/2 stars
Review: This is a great Bond movie. It has great action(the best opening of any Bond film) and Brosnan is ideal in the role. I loved the scenes and Sophie Morceau was very good. The only thing I did not like is Denise Richards as a nuclear scientist. The least they could have done was cast someone who could recite the lines with an iota of intelligence. She is great to look at, thats true, but it takes away from the story when she is supposed to be a scientist and, clearly, is not even close. Otherwise, this movie is one of the best.

Review: When I entered the theatre to go see this movie I did not expect much. After seeing GoldenEye and Tomorrow Never Dies, I was getting disappointed with how everything seemed to be the same. Then the movie started, and I forgot all my past thoughts. This movie actually had a story! This movie had an exciting opening sequence with an awesome conclusion! This movie featured John Cleese! All in all, this movie contained some very good parts, but don't expect this to be the next "American Beauty." Just sit back and enjoy the ride. (Plus, the DVD version has so many cool extras that are sure to please, too)

Summary: You'll fall asleep
Review: A sad day for Bond fans. Looks like director Michael Apted and his team ran out of time and ideas, and had to wrap up something -- anything -- to hand over to the studio. Respectable talents and serious money were squandered on this dull, confusing, flat-as-a-pancake film. If it's true that the Bond series has become a mechanical cliche', the least it should do is deliver the goods every Summer. Instead, this one will put you to sleep. A word about the cast. We've seen virtually all of these actors before, and they're clearly a capable bunch. So the fault of TWINO was not in the casting, but in the plot and direction. Over the years, Brosnan's Bond has grown more self-confident and a little tougher-edged, whereas the film production team seems to be getting confused and softer. Perhaps an injection of fresh film-making talent (behind the camera) is what the doctor ordererd to rejuvenate this tired, stiff series.

Summary: The final nail in the coffin of Bond...
Review: The Bond franchise has outlived its usefulness. I've tried to endure all three of the Remington Steele Bond flicks--unfortunately, that description best sums them up. Brosnan isn't that bad, per se, and if the handlers of the franchise would loosen the reins and let an inventive writer and director attempt to revitalize and reinvigorate the Cold War dinosaur, he might be a servicable Bond. But this film was SOOOOOOO predictable and unoriginal. Buy or rent Dr. No again.

Summary: The World is Not Enough
Review: Michael Apted has demonstrated a knack for powerful drama with films such as NELL. Now, he brings this talent to the world of 007 with possibly one of the best films of the 19 movie series. Brosnan's third outing as 007 is a good one and the plot is realistic and tense (unlike previous efforts such as the ludicrous MOONRAKER.) Brosnan proves he is the best since Connery and the supporting roles, played by Judi Dench as M, Robert Carlyle as the villain Renard and Sophie Marceau as the erotic Electra King, are well played. Only Denise Richards lacks the performance needed to complete this film and is entirely implausible as a nuclear scientist named Christmas Jones. Fortunately, her part is minor. The story is full of shocking twists and turns and may confuse the average movie goer. Let's face it. Not many people are familiar with NATA nuclear disarmorments in the Middle East or oil lines out of the Caspian Sea. However, with a good script, solid performances, explosive action sequences, and a killer title song by Garbage, this is one film that the late Ian Fleming would have been proud of.

Review: i am a big bond fan have all the films and i have the replica guns {air guns} although i like this film it does not seem to be as good as past films it is lacking something which is the skills of albert.r. broccoli who passed away half way through tommorrow never dies, though this film does have the best bond girls and has a interesting story line and great gadgets.
