Summary: An instant classic
Review: Mask of Zorro is simply a great movie. It has a fun, engaging characters, bright, expansive settings, and neat action sequences. Antonia Banderas is a very good Zorro, with a style that is somewhere between James Bond and Indiana Jones. The actors are all clearly having fun in their roles, and especially Banderas and Zeta-Jones seem very vigorous and animated. This is a good family movie, without unnecessary gore, sex and profanity. It is also good to be watched over and over again. Rafael and Love are appropriately menacing and evil, and the movie had ample humor to keep up with the nonstop action and adventure. This is simply a fabulous movie (the most disturbing thing about it is the color of Rafael's lipstick. UGGHHHH!).

Summary: Soon to be a classic
Review: This film is probably the best sword fighting film I have seen with lots of action and a great story line. A film fact is that the guy who teachs the actors how to sword fence has done so many movies from robin hood, three muskateers and now zorro he is actually in his 70's. Basically the story involves De la Vega (Anthony Hopkins) who is the original Zorro in the movie and then after years of him being in jail he teaches alexandro(Antonio Bandaras) all his skills to continue his service to the people a master/apprentice type movie. A classic quote from the movie De la vega:"zorro was a servant of the people he did what was needed !" Alexandro "Yes and now he is needed agian". The acting is superb Anthony Hopkins(enough said), Antonio Bandaras plays the part of zorro reall swarve and calm and not forgeting the lovely Catherine Zeta Jones who has a spanish look about her and her accent is well done well suited to the part. The DVD sound and picture is superb quality and the special documentary is very interesting, it explains all the planning that is put into the movie from the staged sword fights to the backround scenary.

Summary: A great adition to an old theme.
Review: The Mask of Zoro has done what Cutthroat Island should have done, but never did. It has revived the old swashbuckler theme. Spectacular action, great camerawork, good acting and a nice plot, this movie really has all the necessary ingredients. Especially the work with the horses makes for a great show and the fights rival those of Richard Lesters Musketeers. A great movie and a must for all action fans.

Summary: From Then To Now
Review: A long time ago, it was Guy Williams in "Walt Disney Studios Presents" - anyone remember those days?

Welcome to 1998, and the future being Banderas (whom I personally nickname "Bandido", after such a rollicking good time in "Desperado").

Enjoy this one from start to finish!

Summary: An old-fashioned, very entertaining ride
Review: Martin Campell's "The Mask Of Zorro" was one of the most crowed-pleasing films of the year 1998. Though it was successful, it would have deserved an even larger audience.

Since the death of Indiana Jones (not on screen, of course), fans of swashbuckling adventures have to suffer a great deal. The studios obviously lost confidence in the entertainment value of such films for today's audiences. "The Mask Of Zorro" should have taught them a lesson. From the beginning to the end, the picture is a sheer delight with incredibly kinetic action scenes that involve great stunt work. The cast is also as close to perfection as possible. James Horner's score effectively captures the mood of the images.

On the negative side is the less than impressive showdown that is not on par with the other setpieces (A mistake that Campell made in 'GoldenEye' as well) and a running time which is perhaps 15 minutes too long. Such minor carping, however, is rather insignificant and can only weaken the great overall impression.

Summary: Ken From Connecticut on Mask of Zorro
Review: Great flick! Excellent mixture of adventure, romance and light comedy. My wife is in love with it. Ranks right up there with Romancing the Stone, Lethal Weapon and other great action movies. Would highly recommend as a movie both men and women can enjoy.

Summary: Almost Excellent!
Review: Anthony Hopkins was magnificent! He set the level too high, although Banderas was OK, you can't compare he's acting to Hopkins, can you. Zeta Jones played a great role, too. She did all the dancing and fighting by herself, you can't say that about Banderas and Hopkins. Hopkins is old and Banderas is short :)) Altogether a great movie!

Summary: One Of My Favorites!
Review: I loved this movie! It was terrific! The old Zorro retires and a new one takes his place. The training scene is partically good. I can't wait to buy it! It has tons of action, sad and funny parts and it's altogether WONDERFUL! I hope you love it as much as I did!

Review: This movie has good action scenes. The plot is dumb. Catherine Zeta-Jones is so hot. I became a fan of hers after this movie.

Summary: Almost an A+
Review: An excellent movie. Very entertaining for all ages. The only flaws that I could mention are a few whimsical lines that if edited out would have made the movie an A+.
