Summary: A FIVE STAR THIRLLER THAT'S FOR SURE!!!
Review: I SAW THE GHOST AND THE DARKNESS and I was on the edge of my seat practiclly from the get-go from when the menace first appears what the menace is I won't give away just watch and find out. Also VAL KILMER is great in this film as a chief- brody type who's trying to figure out how to stop the carnage from continuing and MICHEAL DOUGLAS almost steals the show as a QUINT-type character just watch and you'll see what I mean. I would not recommend this film for children it is much too intense for them but if you love being scared out of your seat watch this film THE GHOST AND THE DARKNESS you won't soon forget it.

Summary: Greatest action movie I have seen!
Review: In Africa Val Kilmer plays an archetect who accepts the role of building a large rail road bridge. When a killer lion comes around there is much worry of what to do. Great suspence and action in a neat setting. Very intertaning and well worth the five stars I gave it.

Rating: 4 stars

Summary: good good good
Review: Edge of your seat stuff! The show never lagged in story content- I was surprised that it has an R rating however, Lions are wild beasts that hunt & kill for survival purposes.. There werent people killing each other- very minimal offensive language- and no nude scenes.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Beautiful cinematography, it will scare even the toughest
Review: An ultimate DVD experience!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Summary: One of Val E. Kilmers best performences a jour!!
Review: "Ghost and The Darkness" is probably the most exciting and most heart-gripping movie I've ever seen!! Val E. Kilmer makes the movie come alive in a way that's varifying his outstanding talent in acting. Allthough Michael Douglas is a very good actor too Val Kilmer succesfully shows what making movies is all about! He is showing his incredible work to the viewers from all 'round the world, so that we can get an insight in how he translates the stories behind the movies. Not to come as a surprise, I'm a real Val kilmer "freek"! I've seen a lot of his movies - and Ghost and The Darkness is definitely one of his best outcome. That the movie builds on a true story makes it even more gripping. The scenes in the dark, chasing the lions; waiting for the lion, are so thrilling and "hairrising"- (as we say in Denmark) All in all a very good movie that really deserves the best critisism. Thank you - Henriette Jensen, Denmark

Summary: Movie was great, DVD very poor.
Review: I actually had two copies of this DVD, "The Ghost and The Darkness". I tried playing them on three different DVD players. Both copies on all 3 DVD drives the picture shacks and shimmers through out the movie. I would have liked not having to return it, as I did enjoy the movie. But Paramount needs to control quality. I did buy both copies in different retail outlets.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: A very intense, and action-packed movie.
Review: Kilmer and Douglas are magnificent! A very enjoyable and suspensful film, that is definitely worth seeing.

Summary: Umgawa!
Review: It's the late 1800s, and a British company is building a railroad bridge in Africa. There are, of course, personality conflicts, ethnic complications, a deadline, and some lovely sunsets. On top of all that, two man-eating lions rumored to have supernatural powers -- or at least a very bad attitude -- consume dozens of workers, leading to an employee walkout. It's time to call in the Great White Hunter!
