Summary: BLOODY VAMPIRE!
Review: ONE OF THE BEST VAMPIRE STORIES EVER! (CRUISE IS BAD, BAD, BAD, I KNOW, BUT HOW ABOUT THE LITTLE GIRL? AND THE SCENES WITH ANTONIO BANDERAS? )

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Anne Rice's compelling tale of life and death...
Review: An excellent companion to Anne Rice's novel by the same name, "Interview with a Vampire" tells the story of The Vampire Lestat from the point of view of one of his disciples, Louis. Acting is good all-around, with Tom Cruise playing a convincing Lestat, and Kirsten Dunst as a frightening child vampire.

This film provides, on one level, a bewitching horror story filled with suspense, action, and the macabre. Viewed as a companion to the novel, however, it can be seen as a gripping commentary not on life as a vampire, but on life as an ordinary human being.

Summary: Speechless (almost!)
Review: This has to be the best horror flick made. For those thinking of buying this movie, just BUY IT! Trust me, and everyone else who has written a review on this film. A beautiful film all about the love and lack of it, which affects people infected with death (maybe a meaning for some deadly STD? Not aids though because Anne Rice wrote it before the virus was known about). LeStat, what a performance by an actor I'd never really admired, until this performance. By far his best. Brad Pitt plays an exeptional role as Louis. The film is perfect. There are no faults. The short peices of Narrative theatre to move along the plot, and contrasting to that the brawl Louis has with all of Armand's vampires. Also, a perfect end to a perfect film, but I won't spoil it!

Summary: "One happy family"
Review: Where do you even begin to talk about a movie like this? I loved it so much! I am only 14 years old but I do have very good tase in movies, I won't watch senceless blood-baths about prissy beautiful women getting sliced up in their nightclothes, nope in order for me to enjoy a horror film is has to have a story, this movie left me spelbound. I have owned the film for a little over 9 months now and have watched it enough times to have the script memorized. No I'm not crazy, I just know I great movie when I see it. The actors seemed to be made to play their roles. One minor thing that bugged me was that Antiono Banderas was casted for Armand. Its not that he isn't a good acter, its that he looks NOTHING like Armand. Armand has arburn hair and was only 17 when he was made. Nevertheless, Bandera did a wonderful job and I loved him. I also loved Tom Cruise's role in the movie. He pulled off Lestat so incredibly well it makes you want to weep. Brad Pitt's Louis was equaly amazing. He makes you really become in touch with Louis. My heart just broke when Louis discovered Claudia's ashes. *sniff* Stephan Rea did a wonderful job with Santiago and made it very east for me to hate him. Who can forget the smug smile he gave Louis after murdering Claudia? Christian Slater was flawless. I do wish however that they had stuck to the ending in the book, with Louis not only attcking Daniel, but draining him as well. Then again, if it has happened like that we wouldn't have been treated to the wonderful part with Lestat in the car. I just love when Lestat grabs Daniel by the neck, pulls him back and says "I assume I need no introduction" such a great line! Kristin Dunst was totally unbelieveable! She was only 11 when she made this movie! it truly seemed like she was a woman trapped inside a girls body. All the other minor roles where just as good. I didn't care for the sceane with that poor women being picked on by the vampire just before they killed her. In the novel she had a much more peaceful and less painfuly ending. Oh but the movie is so good that none of the small mistakes matter at all. I love this movie so much and every time someone comes to my house I ask, "Have you seen Interview with the Vampire?" If they say no, I tell them where the nearest video store is and send them in their way:) I also persoanlly would not classify this movie as horror. I thought it was much more a drama. I think that just because it is a story about creature tht kill people in order to prolong their own exsistance, it is considered a horror story. Please, do not pass this movie up, it will totally shock it in its sheer beauty.

Summary: A dark golden reverie
Review: If you love to lose yourself in a movie, you will revel in the golden melancholy of the lush images presented here. Some people, however, may not want to watch a picture that addresses the practicalities of vampirism, that is, ending human life. The irony is that a film which makes you empathise with the victim's fear is called inhuman, while most high body-count blockbusters receive comparatively little criticism.

For those who have read the book, the plot is abbreviated and several characters are gone, but the heart of the story, and the poignant atmosphere, remain. Also, I came to the novel only after seeing the movie, and found that some of the movie's best lines weren't even in the book! (E.g. "The gods kill indiscriminately, and so shall we [...]") It turned out that Anne Rice had a large hand in the screenplay.

Summary: Great Movie!
Review: When my father first bought the book when the movie came out, Iwas only nine. But I read the book, my dad never finished it, and Ifell in love with Anne Rice's vampires. When I saw the movie three years after it came out, I was so excited and pleased to see that it was all that I imagined. I don't mind the changes and the storylines that have been left out in the movie. It was a beautiful, funny, and absolutely great adaptation of the book. I still don't know why Antonio Banderas was Armand. I thought he would have been Santiago. But he was still great as Armand. Tom Cruise was a superb Brat Prince. I loved Kirsten Dunst's depiction of Claudia. I LOVED her performance, everything I imagined Claudia would be like. Brad Pitt was a soulful Louis.

Review: I believe that this is a great movie. I think that this is one of the greatest movies ever made. The casting was awesome: Pitt, Cruise, Banderas, Slater, and Dunst are wonderful! This is a movie that is a must see'r. Both Pitt and Cruise were wonderful in thier parts. This is about love, blood and vampires, if you don't already know! SEE IT NOW! IT"S GOOD, REALLY GOOD! If you haven't seen it, DO IT!

Summary: Fantastic Movie
Review: Seeing the pr-posters of the movie made me very much waiting to see this movie. When it finally came to the movietheater, I saw it seven times, and would have been going a few more, if i would have had the time. Its really something. All the actors are playing wonderfully. Just the end of babette was awful-against wishful thinking. I really recommend this movie. It grips you tight, maybe makes yoy wish to be a person with eternal life - on the other side, better not to be a vampire.

Summary: dreadfully dull
Review: This was a huge disappointment. A talented cast (except for Tom Cruise) is largely wasted. Pitt pouts, Cruise drones on and on about nothing, and the film is unendingly slow, especially in the scenes between Cruise and Pitt. Even the homoerotic element in the novel is played down for ridiculous playboy-style playmate video effect--lots of half-closed eyes and sighing. Out and out terrible.
