Summary: one of the great ones
Review: I'm pretty young. So young in fact to I've never had the pleasure of being alive when Bruce Lee stunned audiences world wide. It hasn't prevented me from watching his movies, but he became one of my idles of the 20th century. Then this movie came out in 85. It became one of my all time favorite movies. It captured the escense of Bruce, with it's own original story and style. Taimak makes an especially good performance, doing martial arts stunts you would expect from Bruce. He even added Bruce Lee's famous battle cry. This is a delight for all fans who liked bruce lee movies, and thoughs who just naturally like martial arts movies. Adefinate recomendation.

Summary: Ah, The Classics...
Review: You've got to love a film that embraces the genres of martial arts, hip-hop and urban life. When the hero literaly glows with the power of his idol Bruce Lee, you know you're not supposed to take it seriously. When he enters with his authentic Chinese straw bowl hat covering his eyes, you know he's mugging. When Sho'nuf...the SHO-GUN!...of Harlem vamps it up, you know where Busta Rhymes got his mannerisms. In a time where "Beat Street" was supposed to be a timely film about the culture, here was one that gave a little more, asked a lot less and therefore provided a little more of a good time.

'You are the Last Dragon; you posess the power of control.' Heh...

Summary: The "Best" Dragon
Review: I remember seeing this movie when I was only 11 years old. Guess What...it still hasn't lost its "kick" (pun intended). It never loses itself with too much martial arts or the wacky/fun storyline. Despite all that, the lesson delivered is made clear throughout the film and especially the conclusion. You owe it to yourself to see theis flick; so don't waste anymore time and GET The Last Dragon NOW!

Summary: About Time!
Review: This movie is great! All of the young punks might not get it, but for anyone who lived in the 80's, it will be a fantastic flashback! Old school music, karate, and a bit of fantasy all tie together seamlessly. The "extras" typically found on DVD are nearly non-existent however.

Summary: Paragon of Martial Art Films
Review: What a great film! I remember when I saw this in the theatre. It was great then, and now it is even better on DVD! Thanks to the suits at Tristar for making the right choice and giving fans the opportunity to own the Last Dragon on DVD.

Review: Ah, this movie...I remember seeing it for the first time in theaters, my cousin took her son and myself and we couldn't get enough of it. For the rest of the year, all we could say is "Sho Nuff!" in fact, that's what we called the movie instead of The Last Dragon.

Is it the greatest movie ever made? No. Is it Oscar-caliber acting? No. But it is great seeing a mostly black cast poking fun at kung fu with over-the-top acting (gotta love Julius in this movie!) and some really great fight scenes, especially at the end group scene. And this is the first movie for Ernie Reyes, Jr.! And it's amazing to see Faith Prince in this movie and see her really showing her talents on Broadway right now (she was nominated for a Tony this year). And Vanity...let's just say you're not paying attention to her singing in this movie (thank God)

If you're in the mood to just let go and have fun with a movie and see some action to boot, rent this. That'll make you buy it. And for all those like me that loved the movie in the first place, we've already got it on order. I just wish there was more extras on this DVD! Any chance for a whiz-bang edition later?
