Summary: Way better than the first Bad Boys
Review: I had watched the first Bad Boys and I thought it was ok at best. It had some funny moments, but it was too long and drawn out. I thought Bad Boys II was way better than the first one. The plot was interesting and didn't drag like it did in the first one. The action is non stop and the comedy has also been amped up. I highly reccomend this movie if you're in an action mood.

Summary: Dissapointed? Me??? Far from it
Review: Where the first had comedy, and action, this took it to a level beyond the first. After 8 years since the first one realese, the second one comes out, and so far, it's one of the best action-cop flicks I've ever saw. Will Smith, and Martain Lawrence colaborate once again, and just did what they did best. There are more shootouts in this than the first one. And the final shootout is one of my favorite shootouts I've seen. The few bad things with this movie, is Nelly's ANNOYING SONG playing a lot of times in the movie, I mean come on, I heard it on the radio long enough, and didn't like it. For those who loved the first one, will definitly enjoy this, even if you didn't see the first one, this one is a very enjoyable action flick, and fans of action shouldn't miss this.

Peace

Summary: Not good by any means.
Review: Will Smith-if you get paid 20 million dollars a movie, then should at least try and not deliver a project that is a complete pile of crap. This movie pales in comparison to the original. The airplane hangar they blew up in the first movie was constructed by Fred Howland, my granfather rest in peace.

Summary: A bit much at times, but a solid actioner.
Review: It took eight years, but a sequel to BAD BOYS finally arrived as the imaginatively titled BAD BOYS II. With Will Smith and Martin Lawrence back on the screen, director Michael Bay behind the camera, and über-successful producer Jerry Bruckheimer calling the shots, explosive action is guaranteed. Viewers might be surprised, however, just how big and how explosive BAD BOYS II turned out to be.

Perhaps the filmmakers were concerned that it might be another eight years (or more) before any BAD BOYS III could ever be made. As a result, they put together a movie that feels like two films, with all the extra mayhem, car chases and gun fights that entails. BAD BOYS II runs for nearly two-and-a-half hours with barely a moment's pause. So much havoc might test endurance of the hardiest action-movie aficionado.

The first BAD BOYS movie dealt with heroin smuggling. BAD BOYS II takes on Cuban drug lord Johnny Tapia - played with relish by Jordi Mollà, familiar to audiences from the film BLOW - and his empire built on Ecstasy. Tapia is a slippery catch, having been arrested a dozen times without a conviction. This time returning heroes Mike Lowry (Smith) and Marcus Burnett (Lawrence) are going to do whatever it takes, even breaking the law, to put Tapia away. This entails a lot of flying bullets, countless wrecked vehicles and, of course, a little humor.

BAD BOYS II isn't quite as focused as its predecessor, thanks to its sprawling, action-playground construction. The humor also doesn't seem as sharp, buried as it is under layers of violence. A throwaway subplot involving a DEA agent (Gabrielle Union) who also happens to be Marcus's sister and Mike's love interest doesn't really go anywhere, either. BAD BOYS II is about spectacle, and everything else takes second place.

This isn't necessarily a bad thing. Director Bay throws some incredible action the audience's way, including an extended freeway car chase involving copious gunfire and a truck hauling new cars. By the time that sequence has ended, viewers will have to mop the sweat off their brows. It's good, intense stuff. And there's plenty more where that came from.

Unfortunately, BAD BOYS II begins to become too much by the time the last cartridge case has fallen. Everything in the film is good - except for maybe the tiresome, mean-spirited bickering between the leads - but there end result is so overwhelming that one feels it would have been better to split the movie in two and release it in halves, just to allow the audience a breather. Director Michael Bay is on record as intensely disliking the first BAD BOYS. He had problems with the script, the low budget, and almost everything else. BAD BOYS II features Bay with full freedom to do what he likes, and his experience with such jam-packed blockbusters as THE ROCK and ARMAGEDDON shows up here. One gets the feeling that if Bay could have shoehorned in just one more car chase, and just a few more gunfights, he would have.

Despite its flaws, BAD BOYS II is not a bad movie. The leads remain likeable, the bad guys are hissable and the action is top-notch. No one expects CITIZEN KANE. Just fasten your seat belts, because BAD BOYS II is a very bumpy ride.

Summary: Enjoyable Cheese-fest...
Review: This film is absolute cheese on a stick. A big industrial size edam with extra cheese on top. But it was a good watch, some nice action bits, great car chases, and some inventive sequences directed with extreme confidence. My only gripe is the whole interplay between smith and lawrence. Somehoe it just seemed like it was trying too painfully hard to be funny and not really hitting the mark. I didn't buy it at all, and it marred a few potentially really good bits because of it. Lethal weapon it ain't, but if you like decent action flicks with an injection of comedy - you'll enjoy yourself for a couple of hours.

Summary: Watcha' Gonna Do?
Review: Bad Boys II is an excellent action movie. I should warn you that it is not for kids. It contains lots of violence, profanity and
light nudity. They want to arrest a drug lord who has been difficult to get because the evidence is always missing. These two cops start investigating and find what they needed, lots of drugs and tons of laundered money. Better than the first "Bad Boys" movie, Will Smith and Martin Lawrence's characters do not bicker as much in this sequel. They are both funny and made me laugh out loud. But when it came to business, they were both hard-edged and deadly. They get involved in exciting shoot-outs with a high body count. The car chases have amazing stunt sequences, and crashes (especially the one on the freeway, DAMN! you just got to see it). My only gripe is that there is too much chaos and the camera bounces around. But if you want to see a good action flick, get Bad Boys II.

Summary: Really a 2.5 star rating
Review: Rating System:
1 star = abysmal; some movies deserve to be forgotten
2 star = poor; a total waste of time
3 star = good; worth the effort
4 star = very good; bordering on artistic genius
5 star = fantastic; must own it and share it with others

STORY: Our favorite duo from the first movie return to battle a Miami drug lord.

MY FEEDBACK:
1) In the same vain as the first movie there was some great dialogue between the two characters. I was laughing out loud in a couple of scences, which is a good sign.

2) Some pretty phenominal chase scenes (I think there were three car chase scenes) and big explosions. Such destruction met my expectation of an action flick.

3) After the first two positives the movie goes down from there...Mostly with the plot. The utter RIDICULOUSNESS of some of the plot scenarios was so unbelievable that it was became very, very distracting. It was so bad that I just shook my head and said, "I guess the makers just needed a reason to blow something up whether it hurt the plot or not."

4) Some of the "emotional" scenes were so flat that I actually cared less for the characters than the intended reaction such a scene desires to illicit from a viewer.

5) The language in the movie was just over the top. At least with the first movie I could pause it for a second while the kids walked through the room. But with this movie the profanity became overly distracting as well and turned me off to a big part of the movie. Like the action scenes, it seemed to be that the sequel was about shock value instead of quality.

OVERALL: This was a disappointing movie and I feel I wasted my time. There are so may better movies out there there is no need to spend the money on another failed movie sequel.

Summary: A Must Watch Movie For Anyone Living
Review: All I have to say about this movie is WOW!

This DVD is great; the story is one of the best I have ever seen. Lots of comedy, action, and drama all in 2 and 1/2 hours. I have watched it many times and ever time I still find something new that helps me understand it better. You might have to watch it 3 or 4 times to fully get it, but it is one or Will Smith's best by far.

Also it is a 2 disc DVD and the 2nd disc is packed with great stuff. It really shows how much time thought and money they put into this movie. It shows how they did all of the unbelievable camera angles that are extremely impossible if not done with high tech video graphics. It shows some scenes that are computer graphic that you would never even guess were fake.

Hands down this movie is GREAT! Much better than the first one and is just something that everyone should watch.

If you don't know if you want to get it or not take it from me you will not be Disappointed if you buy it.

GREAT MOVIE!!!

Summary: The Bad Boys Are Back And Better
Review: After watching Bad Boys countless times on TV, I began to get, to say the least, a little bored with it, even though I loved the movie for it's humor and action sequences. Not the most serious sequences I've seen before, but packed with attitude and adrenaline.

It was good news to me when I found that Bad Boys II had been released on DVD, I didn't feel compelled to spend my 10 dollars to go see it at the Cinema, but now I wish I had've. Although I didn't leap on the DVD as soon as it was released I eventually got around to watching it, much to my liking, after viewing it.

Even though this movie may have had some bland jokes and some poor attempts at humor, I found the story line enticing, more so than the Bad Boys, the original. It is a simple plot yes, but it is, I think, a realistic depiction of the underground, if not exagerrated slighty with Will and Martin's crass behaviour and outrageous attitude.

The action scenes are brilliant and the car chase some half an hour into the movie is excellent and original. "Bullet time" (Matrix invention) is improvised in periods during the movie, emphasising on critical moments and/or gory deaths which seem to be dominant in this sequel, as compared to Bad Boys.

I think the movie deserves a good review, although the bad points include an overdone attempt at humor and sometimes during the movie, the attitude gimmick becomes a little tiresome.

As I read in another review, I don't think the "F" word is a down point in the movie, people in these situations, scared, pumped with adrenaline, and bursting with attitude often are depicted in this manner, to me, I hardly noticed the "F" word during the whole movie.

Thumbs up for this one!
