Summary: A Great Action Movie That I Am Very Pleased In Watching!!!
Review: ... Well I finally got to see Bad Boys 2 a few weeks ago and I was very pleased. I can't wait for the dvd to come out.

The movie is ACTION packed to say the least. There is action, brief nudity, a lot of cursing, violent and digusting killings, and a lot of drugs. It is not a kid's movie and I was disapointed to see how many people brought their kids with them to see this movie.

Anyway, Will Smith and Martin Lawrence make a great team and yes their jokes were sometimes annoying and dry but not enough to be overshadowed by the really funny scenes. I liked the first Bad Boys film but I really feel that the sequel is much better. I would not be surprised to see a third installment.

If you like action, good special effects and great stunt coordination, this film is for you. I can't wait to watch it again!

Summary: Slow Start, Then Takes Off!
Review: This summer Will Smith and Martin Lawrence reprise thier roles as Mike and Marcus in the sequal to the 1995 hit "Bad Boys". With the orignal title of "Bad Boys II". Having never seen the first one I can't compare the two movies, but I can review this film on it's own.

Action, comedy, and effects are the focus in this movie. For instance, the action content in here are countless car chases and many shootouts. There were at least 5 comedy sequences that actually made me laugh out loud. Bloody effcts during the action sequences made this movie a 130 million dollar film.

Of course, just because of loads of action and comedy the film did have some major flaws. For example, the extremly slow first half hour. The beginning of this movie distracted me to the point where I wondered what eles could be in this 146 minute movie. I had no idea what was going on with the villian's plan. Once they finally explained what was going on you easily got into the movie and enjoyed it. Just get through the beginning and then you got your money's worth.

As I mentioned above this movie is 146 minutes long, and it's a long ride. I was shocked when I first found out the lenght. I mean how much can you put in an action movie. Most action movies I've seen hardly made it past two hours.(Remember "The Transporter" and "Gone in Sixty Seconds", although "Gladiator", "Saving Private Ryan", and "Gangs of New York" were all close to three hours but those are all Oscar epics.

Well lets go to the plot. Confusing at the start, once explained much more interesting. You have two cops. Mike(Smith) and Marcus(Lawrence) have been partners for years,(the first movie was made in 1995 I believe, you do the math)but they still keep secrets from each other. For example Mike has been seeing Marcus sister Syd without telling her brother. And sadly, Marcus has put in for a transfer so he could spend some more time with him family.

Then they get an assignment from Captain Howard to stop the flow of drugs into the country. Jimmy Tapia, drugdealer, is trying to bring all of his drugs and money back to his mansion in Cuba. It's not an easy job to smuggle drugs out of the country and he encounters many hardtimes while trying to complete his quest because Mike and Marcus are killing people and causing explosions to stop him. Then they find out that Syd is really a DEA agent who is undercover with Tapia to stop him. Trying to rescue Syd from any danger with Tapia while dealing with their own personal problems, Mike and Marcus try to bring peace to Miami.

Go see "Bad Boys II" because in the end it's a great film. If they rewrote the first half hour and it was enjoyable this would be a five star film.

ENJOY!

Rated R for strong violence and action, pervasive language, sexuality and drug content.

Summary: Little things
Review: I really enjoyed the movie. All the way to where they were flipping cars out of a car carrier and one of the brand new cars had a bottle of Mountain Dew. Otherwise, I think it is a fantastic movie and would definitely recomend to my friends.

Summary: Bloated excess
Review: As an action fan and a fan of Michael Bay, I was looking forward to seeing this. Unfortunately, I have to say I was disappointed with BAD BOYS II. It's not a terrible film, but it could've been better.

VISUALS - an impressive production. Some of the best photography I've seen in years. Excellent color. Miami looks fantastic.

ACTION - Pretty good. The car chases are the highlights. The shootouts were a little weak but not bad. Lots and lots of explosions.

PLOT - Not much to be found but does the job.

COMEDY - I didn't find it too funny. Just a couple of mild laughs. That anger management joke was rehashed too much.

CONTENT - way over the top. It tries to be shocking. The hardest "R-rated" mainstream action movie in a while. Sex, drugs, lots of cursing, homosexuality references, a dead naked girl, rats having sex, gun violence, dismemberment, a barrel with sliced off body parts in it, going inside corpses and pulling out organs, etc., etc. Make sure the kids stay home for this one.

LENGTH - at 2 hours and 20 minutes, this movie is just way too long. You could shave 40 minutes off this one without losing anything.

SOUNDTRACK - subpar. Nothing memorable.

OVERALL - the action was cool, but the tone of the film is cruel, and this made it not as fun and entertaining as it should've been. With a shorter running time, less crass content, and some funnier dialogue, this would've been a solid 4 star action film.

Summary: One of Few Sequels Better Than the First
Review: Bad Boys II... A movie chockfull of flying cars, drugs, profanities a mile long, comedy, action, great shooting scenes, breif nudity, some things that might turn some stomachs... All, when mixed together and given to Director Michael Bay, come out as the perfect sequel.

One thing that makes me give thumbs up (so to speak, I'd never do it in real life) to sequels is if the original cast returns. Marcus Burnett (Lawrence) and Mike Lowry (Smith) return along with the rest of cast to bring justice to the streets of LA once again. It starts out with just as much action as I expected, guns blazing, fire, the KKK getting in some BIG trouble, the usual comedy, and of course, an injury that brings even more laughs.

The sequel has basically the same plot with steroids. More drug dealers, but this time it's 'X' also known as Ecstacy as the drug being dealt by a Cuban kingpin. The case is already complicated, but when Marcus's sister is seen with the very people Mike and Marcus are trying to put behind bars everything is turned upside down.

This movie, due to the language, graphic death scenes, and breif nudity, should not be viewed by children. (Being a teenager myself I should know) So when you buy this movie, make sure to watch it when there are no impressionable young minds in the atmosphere. But, overlooking the few flaws the movie has, it is a large improvement from the first installment and anyone who loves action should buy it, no questions about it. So whatcha gonna do? Buy it.

Summary: Action Packed
Review: This is definitely one of the best sequel I've ever seen of any series. It had so much action. it will keep you on the edge of your seat through out the length of movie. A must see for those action movie lovers.

Summary: Wild and Hilarious
Review: It took them 8 years, but Will Smith and Martin Lawrence are back for Bad Boys II taking on the evil Cuban Ecstasy cartel and BOY does 8 years make a difference.

THE STORY

Miami P.D. cops Marcus Burnett (Lawrence) and Mike Lowrey (Smith) return to the big screen to take down a Cuban Ecstasy distribution ring. In between raising havoc on the streets of Miami and dealing with some personal issues (Mike's too much of a loose cannon and Mark's getting too old for this stuff) the boys, like in the first movie, wind up in some pretty hilarious situations.

THE COOL STUFF

The action is awesome and the comedy is still as sophomoric and hilarious as ever (that's a GOOD thing). Eight years makes a BIG difference in the terms of special effects and Bad Boys II has taken some pages out of the Matrix, CSI and Fast and Furious in terms of FX and action. The result as the Boys would say is some real COOL [stuff].

Best Scenes

1. The Freeway CHASES

2. Rat Hunting (Hilarious!!!)

3. The Video Store Scene (HILARIOUS!!!!)

4. The Morgue scene (gross, but funny)

THE CRITIQUE

The one MINOR critique with the film is its length!!! At a whopping 2 and half hours this thing is long but thankfully doesn't drag. The action is so intense it's a literal whirlwind ride. The movie DOES take a page from Pearl Harbor though in that JUST when you think the movie is about to end a new plot development opens up and continues for another half hour. The movie may very well have been better to have cut just a half hour earlier but the action in the last half hour, while feeling tacked on, was just as solid as anything else.

THE DVD EXTRAS

Well, not only do you get a stacked movie, but you also get a STACKED set of extras. So much, in fact, that they needed to put it on a whole extra disk.

Among the goodies we get are:

1. 8 theatrical trailers

2. Seven deleted scenes

3. Six sequence breakdowns

4. 19 production diary featurettes

5. A Jay-Z video

Waaay too much to get into but if you're an extras fiend you've got a whole extra disk of it to go through.

THE VERDICT

This is your prototype modern day action flick: pounding soundtrack, TONS of guns, TONS of cars and some pretty wicked street humor to go along with it. Whether you buy it or rent, it's a solid film to watch and a solid addition to your collection if you're into it.

Summary: bad boys whatch ya gonna do!!!!!!
Review: Will Smith and Martin Lawrence are back. This movie was great ya gotta get it now, if you like action then i know you`ll like it, but if you like plot i`d advise you look elsewhere because this movie doesnt have much of that. The action scenes were terrific, especially at the beginning and the car chases, they were pretty state of the art, this movie also has a lot of sex which i also like, the only question is why 147 minutes long?
