Summary: Better than the last, but generally mediocre
Review: If this movie did not say STAR WARS, most reviewers would give it 1 to 3 stars. It is bloated with action scenes that rely solely on computer animation and has little plot. The CGI that gains so much praise looks cheaply done in places. The acting is garbage, but if you watch the original three more closely, they were not really about the acting either. The intrigue of the first three was partly in character development. The audience saw the characters grow and change together, with their relationships developing along the way. In these films we have to skip large chunks of people's lives and see more new characters in every film. The closeness is not there, neither between the main characters, nor with the audience.
A lot of people have commented that it is "a good Star Wars movie." I agree that it is definitely a Star Wars movie, but it is not "good" by any standard.

Summary: The second best, after Empire Strikes Back
Review: I am amazed at how may critics hated this one. Sure the love scenes were a bit gooey and Anakin could have been a little less whiney, but despite all that, I loved every second. I am a serious Star Wars buff. I have been collecting figures and watching the movies over and over for my entire life. Generally, If you expect one thing, you are going to get something else. I expected a great Star Wars movie, and I got it. The effects were some of the best in movie history and the end fight scene was one of the best goosebump scenes ever made. I was disappointed in the Phantom Menace, but this one restored my faith in Lucas and his ability to take me to a Galaxy Far Far Away...

Review: I love Star Wars and no doubt I'll see the episode III.

I hope Lucas hires some WRITERS for God's sake, his dialogue can be painful at times--Anakin and Padme's scenes can be real groaners. The arena scenes are a highlight.

Review: When the stench of a movie offends one's delicate nasal hairs, is it time to complain? Me thinketh this stinketh!

Summary: Much better than the first...
Review: After the G rated boring and fake looking first Star Wars movie this is a breath of fresh air. Yes it is a digital and some parts still look pretty fake, the overall feel is there and the story moves along with enough action to overlook this downfall of anti-realism that a real set would have provided. Besides that is worth owning just to see Natalie Portman. People who are sceptical about buying this one because of the first need not worry.

Review: Is another DVD release coming out? I guess I really could use another copy as a paper weight. Thanks in advance.

Review: This was relly bad! I can't believe I paid nine dollars to Lucas for this subpar effort. Can someone else do the next one? Please?

Summary: Yoda not tha man!
Review: and that scene was absolutely ridiculous. Some people in the theater cheered, those over the age of 11 laughed. It was the final nail in the coffin!

Summary: A Mixed Bag
Review: This Star Wars episode has some of the best special effects of the series. Yet it is disappointing insofar as the plot and character development. I found it quite boring in many places and had to fight nodding off. Hopefully, the third installment of this series will overcome this ho-hum problem.

Summary: George Lucas Has Lost His Mind.
Review: This movie was a very big let down. George Lucas has surrounded himself with too many "Yes" men for far too long. Someone needs to tell him that he is out of touch with what the fans want to see, and that he needs to get down off his "High Horse". I loved the first series of Star Wars movies. These Last two were just awful! The actors were all horrible, especially the guy who played anakin, who was, at times, down right embarrassing to watch. The plot was way off, and the special effects all looked like poorly done cartoon images. This movie could have been so much more. The only thing good about the whole movie was the soundtrack, which I believe is outstanding.
