Summary: The best fantasy I've seen on film to date.
Review: In the long trail of bad fantasy produced under low budget producers and bad directors, it's great to finaly see George Lucas's(Star Wars, and Indiana Jones) briliant imagination coupled with the directing expertise of Ron Howard(Ransom), and an astonishing sound track to back it up. With the added spice of Val Kilmer as a rough and rowdy swordsman, in one of his earlier roles, this beats the pants off of Legend. It's a shame that it's not available anymore. If you agree with me in the slightest, send out e-mails, get it back in print.

Summary: A True Classic that Demands Re-release
Review: Willow is simply a classic and one of my all-time favorite movies, if not my absolute favorite. A few years back, my brother and I had a dusty old version that we recorded off the TV (we were little) and we had a ritual of watching Willow every time certain friends came over. I could talk about the different aspects of the movie, but I'll just leave it as one of the few films that I really love. It's a classic in the same sense as Star Wars. In fact, stumbling upon this page, reading these reviews, and hearing about all the familiar characters has prompted me to run out and see if I can't find it to rent. (I haven't seen it in a while.)

It also has great music, as well as superb characters and a real sense of adventure.

Summary: Perhaps the Best Fantasy Movie Ever
Review: This movie is probably the best fantasy movie ever made, alongside Legend, Merlin (1998 version with Sam Neill), and Dragonheart. It had an awesome story, incredible special effects, and the best cast one could ask for. This movie is a breath of fresh air in a market flooded with action an horror movies. To bad it did not catch on, because fantasy has to be the most overlooked genre of all when it comes to moviemaking. Perhaps the Lord of the Rings Trilogy (when they are released) will bring new life to this ignored genre. And I'll be the first to say that there HAS TO BE a sequel to this movie, maybe after George Lucas is finished with the Star Wars prequel trilogy.... Oh yeah, this movie NEEDS to be rereleased!

Review: Willow is one of my all time favorite movies!! I love all the action and drama in this movie and would be a great part of anyone's movie collection (though I regretfully say they have yet to re-release it!) Please (speaking to the film company)if you have any compassion in your heart you will re-release it!

Summary: The greatest movie of all time (almost)!
Review: To say it's the greatest fantasy-movie of all time doesn't saymuch. Real fantasy like this doesn't exist in movies. It's just so sadcritics had to destroy this movie. Bad criticism made this movie a flopp - nobody went to see it. If that wouldn't have happened maybe we would have a whole Willow-trilogy to watch. It's too sad. I say this movie is at least as good as Star Wars! ....

Summary: Who the hell discontinued this gem?
Review: Willow is clearly George Lucas' best work. I am astonished that this wonderful show is unavailable. This show literally does not have a dull moment from beginning to end, and has a number of scenes that you will watch over and over again.

Summary: One of the True Fantasy Film Classics
Review: In these days, it seems people lost total interest in fantasy filmmaking. It's a shame too, because a really talented group of people could pull off something spectacular with modern special effects and all. But, enough of my whining and on to the review. As my header says, this really is one of the truest fantasy movies around. Never does it get irritating, the characters are always interesting, and the fights are right on. As with the other reviews, I agree this is Val Kilmer's best work. So, if you're sick and tired of starships and teenagers being menaced by spooks, mutants, or whatnot, give this fantasy flick a go. Trust me, it will stick with you.

Summary: The "Star Wars" of fantasy adventure movies
Review: BRING BACK WILLOW! I have searched far and wide to find a copy of this magnificent film and have to yet to find one (to buy). This is one movie that demands re-release! One of the most compelling storylines in a fantasy movie ever and the final battle between Madmartigan and Kael is something NOT to be missed! The special effects in this movie were groundbreaking in that they introduced morphing and other great features. WILLOW must ride again! We demand re-release!
