Review: Wonderful movie! Masterful performances by Jane Seymour (as always) & Anthony Andrews. If you appreciate superb costumes & plots, watch this movie. Slightly suspenseful, this drama depicts the French Revolution but still leaves one with hope in the human race.

Review: Sink me, but this video is on my wish list! Even though I found myself chanting "Cream puff, cream puff!" when Percy put on his fop act, I thought the whole thing was very well done. I especially liked the Pimpernel's disguises of the old woman and the mover. Od's fish, but Chauvelin really didn't have much style!

Review: Sink me! What a fabulous movie. Andrews was simply superb, as was the rest of the cast. The Scarlet Pimpernel is my fav. book, so I was a little afraid that the movie wouldn't live up to it. Well, it did! This has to be one of my new fav. movies! Definitely recommended.!

Review: Absolutely wonderful! Even my boyfriend got hooked on this film, and he's not one for movies! This "Scarlet Pimpernell" just has all the ingredients for a really great story - romance, adventure, discovery, excitement! If you're in the mood for something to sweep you away, this is the film for you!

Review: It has romance, action, intrigue, mystery, comedy, WHAT ELSE DO YOU WANT FROM A MOVIE? I have never seen such movie. The acting is superb. Since the first moment I saw Mr. Andrews I fell in love with his acting skills. Not to mention Mrs. Seymour with such class and style. The story envolves you in such way that you don't want to leave the TV. I saw an earlier version of the story but nothing compares to this one. You can't get enough of it. You just want to see it over and over again. I haven't seen yet another like it and probably won't. You have to see it and buy it!!!

Review: I loved this movie. However, it can not begin to compare with the play. Anthony Andrews is no match for Douglas Sills. And Anthony Andrews'voice sounds horrible. I know that he is acting floppish but he could have talked normally.

Summary: A Suitable - Bahsket??
Review: This movie is a treasure; I know it by heart, and I don't care! Anthony Andrews is seen FAR too little now, and this movie showed him at his best. It's not easy to be "taken for a fop," when you look like he did. The romance between them, his cleverness, the chill you get when Marguerite discovers all those tiny, red "humble wayside flowers" all over their house. Ahhhh..I love it! Fabulous from beginning to end, great music, fabulous costuming, a wonderful tale. Sink me....I'll always be glad THIS movie came out on video! He IS a poet - and WE all know it! :-)
