Rating: Summary: Cameron is to be applauded!!! Review: As I watched this movie unfold, I felt as if we were almost looking over one of the passenger's shoulders as this tragedy unfolded. James Cameron did an exceptional job. It is too bad that "some" critics see this movie as just another "vehicle" for DiCaprio to gain fame. I do believe all of the actors in this movie did a great job. Gloria Stuart, as she was telling her story, gave me "goosebumps" she was so believable. I was amazed at the camera work in this movie. At the beginning of the movie when they are coming upon the wreck of the Titanic, I felt so much emotion seeing it there on the bottom of the ocean floor - it certainly set the mood of the entire movie. In one shot, as the sceen fades from the young Rose to the old Rose, by showing a close up of their eyes, it looked like the same eye. Also, when Rose is going below deck to find Jack and she steps off of the steps into the cold sea water and it takes her breath away, I could almost feel my chest restrict. I own a video store and have been going to the show almost every week-end since I was a child and this movie takes my breath away. I have only seen it 24 times, but I am sure I will watch it a "couple" more times. If you have not experienced this movie, I highly recommend seeing it, you will certainly be glad you did.
Rating: Summary: K, I have 2 admilt it waz pretty dope! Review: I watched it 2 times on the big screen................. but the small- screen just don't seem the same. Less tears, Less space, Less excitment. It didn't seem 2 have the same impact on me as the theater. Even the acting didn't seem as good as b4 and Leo less cute. A great movie 4 your collection though........... a must 4 movie luvers!
Rating: Summary: A powerful, emotional drama Review: This movie is about much more than a sinking ship. It focuses around the decisions Rose DeWitt Bukater must make that will make her grow up and change her life forever. Wonderfully acted and the music fits the movie so well you can overlook the failings in the script. Deserving of all eleven oscars and the 1.8 billion dollar gross. The greatest movie since Gone With the WInd
Rating: Summary: Great commercial success does not mean great movie Review: It is a sad commentary on the tastes of the American public that a movie such as Titanic can be given such outstanding reviews, not to speak of the 11 academy awards. The acting of the main characters was pitiful, the story line created for the film was weak, and the movie gives new meaning to the 60's term 'camp'. To reuse a somewhat hackneyed phrase "No one ever went broke underestimating the intelligence of the American public."
Rating: Summary: The movie was the best of the year! Review: I Think That This Movie Was Terrific. Leo and Kate worked great together. The special effects were awesome, and it almost felt like you were there with the boat. No one could top this movie!
Rating: Summary: TRASH Review: I hate this movie. It is a horrid idea for a film. A love story on the Titanic? What's next? "TWA Flight 800: A love Story"? This movie is totally awful, and it proves that people have no shame. If it is such a bad movie, you ask, then why did hords of people flock to see it? Simple: People are fools (if teenage girls count as people). I'll take "A Clockwork Orange" over this any day. I'll take "Pulp Fiction" over this any day. I'll take "Basquiat" over this any day. Hell, I'll take "Ernest Saves Christmas" over this any day. This movie is truly disguisting and makes me want to hurl all over my computer. Later, Someone obviously better than you

Rating: Summary: i loved it! Review: "Titanic" was a great movie. It inspired me in many ways. It brought me thousands of times closer to my sweetheart and taught me to "...never let go." I also appreciated it because it made me experience the awful tragedy that occurred to all of the people who were lost on that tragic night.
Rating: Summary: Good movie, but glad I waited for video. Review: I was one of the few people in the world who did not see the movie in a theatre but on video. Being a fan of science fiction and of James Cameron, (I love the Terminator 1 & 2)I was not disappointed with the special effects. The Titanic sinking is the only thing that I mentally took away from the movie. Everything else was not "GREAT" as everyone calls it. The love story and acting was not enough to carry the film which, thank God, James may have figured out which is why it has some great special effects. I definitely would not recommend this movie to true movie lovers who value movies based on story, characters and the actors performances. After all, does anyone recall any of the actors winning an Oscar or for that matter, the screenplay?
Rating: Summary: Shlock Review: Want to see sappy teenagers drown? Want to sit through hours of melodrama and then see terrible tragedies? Want to see how much a studio can spend?
