Summary: OK, but no show stopper
Review: I liked this movie. I used to read Spiderman all the time in the paper. It tried to touch on too much all at once. It should have developed the characters more, since it is obviously set up for a sequel.

Summary: Spider-wow!
Review: Tobey McGuire plays Peter Parker...a teenager bitten by a genetically altered spider and becomes Spiderman. Great SFX, AWESOME soundtrack, good plot...could've done without the unrequited love scenes. William DeFoe plays the Green Goblin who discovers Peter's secret and tries to destroy him & the ones he loves.

Summary: watch this movie its good
Review: finally a decent superhero movie came out spiderman is a new breed of entertainment its really fun to watch its all aboat a young high school student who gos to a feild trip and acidently gets bitten by a spider he feels sick at first but then he discovers that he can do all sorts of things crawl up walls webswing and so on from there his story unfolds but it is truely a good movie the only thing i hate about it is that the cgi spiderman is shown the same time in two scenes if u watch the scene where spiderman is rescueing the baby and then the scene where spiderman is chasing uncle bens killer then u will notice anyways this movie is great

Summary: Definitely worth the money.
Review: This Spiderman DVD was definitely worth the purchase. The movie is definitely awesome. SPiderman has long been my favorite superhero, and this movie does good justice to the comic book.

At first, I was skeptical to having Tobey Maguire play Peter Parker(Spiderman). But after seeing the film, I have a little more respect for him, and comparing him to the comic photo shootin' action hero, I could definitely see the resemblance. And on a side note, Mr. Jameson was ON PAR!

As far as extra features, this DVD is packed. I especially liked the part where you could go to short clips on the making of the movie, while the movie was playing. The features are good and overall I think this is worth the time and money.

Summary: Best of the superheroes
Review: As much as I enjoyed the original Batman, Spider-Man is by far the best of the superhero movies. In the Superman series of movies, an over emphasis was placed on the relationship between Lois Lane and Clark Kent. An identical problem occured with Batman. Spider-man however, while still featuring the obligatory love interest of the superhero, didn't sacrifice other parts of the story. It made it a great movie for anyone, whether they are the diehard action movie buff, or love story fanatic.

The special effects are another subject all together. They simply have to be seen to be believed. No more glibly swinging through city streets as in the old cartoon. Instead, we are able to see the power and strength required as Spider-man traverses the city. It's great to see that special effects people for once, decided to pay attention to an often neglected law: physics.

Summary: Not A Bad Flick
Review: I must admit, a comic book fan I am NOT. So, I'm not familliar with anything to do with Spiderman. Heck, I didn't even know the guy's name was Peter Parker. So, I came into this movie with no preconceptions and no expectations.

I can say this: It IS a fun movie. It has some pretty cool special effects and I like the characters for the most part. It is a typical superhero movie, although I find "Batman" and "The X Men" to be superior films. Tobey McGwire does a very good job portraying the unlikely hero. I also liked Kirsten Dunst, but that goes without saying.

I think I am just amazed at how cartoonish and bland some of the climactic action sequences were. This movie is a strange case where I found the plot and character moments much more satisfying and believable than the actual action.

As much as I like Willem Defoe, the villan in this movie is HORRIBLE, and the villan in these cheesy flicks is basically a "make or break" point. Maybe this is why the action sequences did nothing for me.

I'm amazed that this film outgrossed Star Wars. At the same time, I think a sequel done with a slightly better villan and a somewhat more serious plot might just work.

Summary: Spider-Man
Review: I really liked this movie. It was very entertaining. Although I had never followed the comic book series I was still able to follow along with this movie. The movie had a good plot and a good story line. I think that this is a movie for all.
