The is first course in a four part series on CompTIA's Server+ certification. This course presents students with guidelines for conducting pre-installation planning activities. They will also learn how to install hardware using ESD best practices, the basics of server configuration and the features of the different operating systems. It also covers the load placed on a server when you run directory services or a domain environment.

Audience
The intended audience for this course is mid-level and upper-level technicians who are responsible for hardware functionality of microcomputers on a more sophisticated level than that of an entry-level person. Their experience should include installation, support, and troubleshooting, as well as second level support. In addition, candidates should have 18-24 months of strong hands-on experience with advanced PC hardware. A+ certification prior to Server+ certification is recommended but not required. This course maps to CompTIA's Server+ exam SK0-001.

Install Service Pack 2 on Windows 2000 by using the Service Pack executable file.
