This curriculum provides the learner with the following knowledge and skills necessary to understand the basics of Windows 2000 Network Administration. This curriculum provides the basics of how to administer a Windows 2000 environment, use groups to organize user accounts and administer file and print Resources, analyze the business requirements for a network. Professionals using this course will learn to install, manage, monitor, configure, and troubleshoot DNS, DHCP, Remote Access, Network Protocols, IP Routing, and WINS in a Windows 2000 network infrastructure. Objectives covered in this MCSE Express Pack Curriculum also include how to install, configure, administer and troubleshoot Active Directory, identify Active Directory Logical Models, implement and troubleshoot group policy and use Remote Installation Services to deploy Windows 2000, analyze and design for the common architectural elements of Active Directory. Additionally, users will learn how to design security solutions and address security issues for a Windows 2000 network, design a network infrastructure strategy to implement TCP/IP, DHCP and how to design a network strategy using RRAS, RADIUS, NAT and ICS, and how to implement and configure demand-dial routing and a VPN.
