This is the fourth course in a five part series that presents the knowledge and skills necessary to create application integration components (AICs) for use with BizTalk Messaging Services. It also covers the deployment and management of an automated business process between trading partners using BizTalk Server 2000. In this respect, it presents a type of practical application of much of the material covered in the previous courses. The learner has an opportunity to use BizTalk's features and tools, manage the four server databases and manage the queues that BizTalk Server 2000 uses. The course continues to build upon the scenario companies that form the scenario core of the curriculum, presenting contexts of business requirements and considerations.

Audience
The audience for this course includes Administrators, Database Administrators, Application Developers, System Analysts, and Network Designers who operate in medium to very large computing environments that use Microsoft BizTalk Server 2000. Learners should have a minimum of one year's experience designing and developing distributed applications by using Microsoft technologies. Prerequisites include experience with XML and it is recommended that learners have experience with XSLT. Working knowledge of COM+, including development tools such as Microsoft Visual Basic and Microsoft Visual C++, and a working knowledge of Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS), ASP, and Microsoft SQL Server 2000 Enterprise Edition.
