Review: I've used turbo tax for the last two years to prepare my taxes and find it to be very user friendly. The software walks you through step by step and provides prompts to enter information when needed. I plan to use Turbo Tax to prepare my 2000 taxes.

Summary: Even First-Time Tax Filers Will Love It!
Review: In 1999, I filed taxes for the first time in my life. As a 22-year old, I was a bit nervous. Fears of the IRS came into my head. But fortunately, there's TurboTax and it works great! It was so easy, I just filled in the information from my paperwork and zip! It was off to the IRS. I received my tax refund via direct deposit TWO WEEKS LATER...that's right, both federal and state refunds arrived in my account two weeks after I filed. If that's not an incentive to file electronically, I don't know what would be. Needless to say, I will definitely file electronically this year and TurboTax is my product of choice.

Summary: Did any one get the mail in rebate
Review: Last year I bought this from Amazon. We tried to mail in the rebate form and there was a requirement to attach the receipt. Just to make sure, we called Intuit and was told the rebate is not for online purchases, but for over the counter purchases only. We never got the rebate. Any one had any luck so far? I like buying it from amazon, but do not want to be cheated again. Still waiting for $5!!!!

Review: This downloadable software is so convenient! I don't have to wait for a CD rom to come in the mail. It's about time we got out of the dark ages and started delivering stuff like this electronically. If you've never downloaded software from Amazon before, it's very easy. Just be sure to follow the instructions.

Review: This is a very nice piece of software. It guides through the entire process and even has diagrams of the forms so you know exactly which number to record from which box. The help section offers assistance on procedures you may not be familiar with. My favorite part is that if you use TurboTax year after year it will look at your old returns and see if your information is within reason as well as gathering name and address so you don't have to enter it again. My only problem is with investment income. The software does still require some knowledge on your end of different methods of reporting investment income, such as FIFO or average. But, all in all, a nice program that simplifies that task we all dread.
