Summary: You'll LOVE everything about it, except...
Review: First, the price is, in my opinion, too high. Second, the Lotus does NOT allow you to save/open to the Microsoft Word format and you will have difficulty when you try to open some word documents with the Lotus Word Pro. Third, if you do any work with Adobe Acrobat Reader 4x, Good Luck. My experience with having both Acrobat Reader and Word Pro open at the same time was similar to pouring gasoline over my head, and striking a match to look at my watch to see what time it was. Fourth, the Lotus does cause your computer to crash, applications will lock up and when you boot up, it will hang. I'm glad I have Norton Utilities with Norton Crash Guard to isolate amd identify what was causing the problems. On the positive side, I absolutely love the Lotus Smart Suite Millennium. The Word Pro kicks Microsoft's Office 2000. The Organizer simply destroy's Microsoft's in their Office 2000. All in all, the Lotus Smart Suite Millennium was devistating to Micresoft's Office 2000, feature for feature. I found the Lotus easier to get around, easier to intergrate with the web, and loaded with practical features that allowed me to generate very professional documents and presentations. It's not that the Microsoft was bad, but it just doesn't compare with the Lotus. However, I feel Lotus MUST make some serious decisions about their compatibility with the rest of the computing world. If they don't, the Millennium Edition may be their last.

Summary: Smart, Simple, Beautiful
Review: Formatting is quickest of all major suites: Lotus uses InfoBox, an ever-open panel used in professional graphics programs. WordPro 9.x opens and saves Word and WordPerfect documents. Tables are superior to Word, file security too. Approach is a database manager for non-professional user (everybody out of corporations with IT depts). If you want beautiful documents, particularily for color printers or for converting into HTML and Adobe Acrobat formats, you design them in SmartSuite. Some editions include Lotus Notes client, a prime e-mail program. Ease of use does not compromise elegant views.

Summary: Better than believed
Review: The review that they it doesn't convert very well is true but I make newspapers, brochures, integrated graphical reports dropping in the grapher and spreedsheets by copy and paste. It isn't a main stream program but as long as I was converting only text I was usually Ok with some minor editing. OVerall worth it if you want a meetier word processor and you don't have to constantly share files.
