If your type of phone is on the list, you can sign up to receive a free cable to connect your cell phone to your laptop serial port (Ours took less than a week to arrive). If your type of phone is not on the list, QuickLink has a customer service number for you to call; however, it's probably better to find a different application, or upgrade to a data-enabled phone. One feature that we liked especially was the Wireless Internet Accelerator, which allowed us to filter Web graphics and speed up connection times. The application even includes QuickLink Fax 2000, which allows you to send and receive faxes by using your cell phone. QuickLink Mobile 2000 also includes monitoring features to help you control your cellular Internet usage. However, keep in mind that surfing the Web with your cell phone can eat away at cellular time and battery life quickly.
