Summary: "Makes project planning easy"
Review: As a long time consultant managing projects, I've used MS Project, Timeline, Milestones, and others. Project KickStart allows much easier ways to plan and present to teams both the overview and the details. It is simple to use when starting project, and with one click, the information generated can be transported to other software. For my Biotech/Medical clients, I can quickly show a project outline as part of my bid that becomes the project task/assignment sheet when the job starts.

Summary: Look out, Microsoft Project...
Review: As a project management consultant for almost 20 years, I understand what most projects need and don't need in the way of software. Project KickStart has what you need, and doesn't confuse you with unnecessary or bug-ridden features. KickStart guides you through defining, developing, and planning your project. Enter the data once, and have it usable in other applications. KickStart can even create a PowerPoint presentation for you! Microsoft Project can't even do that!

Summary: Project KickStart really is fast and easy to use.
Review: For middle or upper management, consultants, non-profits and anyone else who has a project to plan, Project KickStart presents just the right tool to conceptually manage their different projects. I suspect many senior level managers will treasure this program's focus on ease of use and fill-in-the-blank design, and enjoy working with a program that while it is based on the principles of solid project management, does not overly complicate the technical aspects of implementing the project.

Project KickStart has a simple Gantt chart for scheduling, a wide variety of reports and links to other software applications such as Word, PopwerPoint, Outlook and MS Project. For small to mid-size projects I use Project KickStart standalone. For larger projects I use it as a front-end to Microsoft Project.

Project KickStart should be seriously considered by any organization that is genuinely interested in maximizing the resources devoted to their projects.

Summary: Not another step to project management
Review: For the past 10 years, I've worked with project management software. Most programs were thrown in the trash (in spite of the high pricetags) as soon as I realized the software was taking almost as much time for me to manage as the project itself. Project KickStart was the first product that enabled me to simplify project planning, rather than having the project management software become yet another step to the process. The templates, fill-in-the-blanks, and ability to enter data only once and work with my other software packages was exactly what I was looking for.

Review: I had been using MS Project and other PM software packages for many years. Just recently A consultant advised me to try out Project Kickstart.

Once I had installed it, and began playing around with it, I was amazed at how simple and easy the program was to use. I had no idea as to how quick I could develop a realistic and effective project schedule.

Also, the built in features for exporting to other programs such as MS Powerpoint, MS Word, and even MS Project was also extremely useful.

This is now my PM software of choice.

Summary: Analysis of Project KickStatty
Review: I love this application! I really like the built in help and "mentoring" as well as the intuitive design. I also like the reports it generates and it just turned out to be perfect for what I need. I downloaded the trial version, and bought it the next day because I was so impressed with it. I've already created a project plan and schedule and generated reports and gave them to the department manager and it knocked his socks off. Very good job!! Thanks much,

Summary: You Don't Want to Waste Your Time.
Review: The only info this product allows you to attached to a task is a set of People's Names, Start Date, End Date, and boolean Completion. This product has no notion of dependencies. You have to manually assign ALL start and finish dates... and reassign... and reassign. It can't automatically map out a timeline! Need I say more? The UI is aggravatingly not standard Windows. I'd rather use Visio Pro 5.0's sorry excuse for Gantt Charts... at least there's dependencies. I'm suspiciously dumbfounded by the apparent positive reviews of this product. The one positive thing about the hour I spent trying KickStart is that as a result, perhaps you'll be an hour richer.
