Rating: Summary: An unbeatable CD player at an excellent price! Review: Since my old CD player was skipping often and a bit outdated, I decided to try the GPX Blue Ice CD Player. At first, I had my doubts (I had never, ever heard of GPX in my life). Having used it, though, I have to admit that I am very satisfied. First of all, I absolutely love the icy blue color (who wouldn't?) and the way that you can see the spinning CD while you're listening. This player is surprisingly slender and lightweight, so it's easy to carry around. I thoroughly tested the ESP (Electronic Shock Protection) by dropping it, bopping it, and slapping it silly. It didn't miss a beat! And now for the coolest feature: Have you ever been bored out of your skull during a field trip or a looong car drive?(Is the Pope Catholic! ) Well, be bored no more! The GPX player's awesome car adapter kit is easy to use (you don't need to be an electronics whiz to use it), and it enables you to bring your music wherever you go. The bass boost system is also great. Best of all, this CD player is priced very nicely, so you can use the extra money towards a new set of headphones (The included pair is a tad flimsy). If you are a music fanatic (like me!), than I suggest you try out the GPX Blue Ice CD Player. I love it, and you will too!
Rating: Summary: GPX-cellent! Review: This player is everything you could possibly want in a CD player...plus a couple of extras. Here's the scoop:*The player itself looks really sleek and it's also cool that you can actually see the CD spinning while you're playing it. *When I tested the ESP (Skip Protection), I shook it, smacked the cover, and even dropped it once or twice and IT DIDN'T MISS A BEAT! *The car adapter kit works perfectly and you don't have to be a techno-whiz to figure out what goes where. *It comes with all the cool features: track programming, intro (though I don't really use that feature), and my personal favorite, random track select. And now, the downside: *The headphones are flimsy. My suggestion is to buy another pair or use a pair you already have. *One of my favorite features on other CD players is missing on this one and that is the Resume feature. If you don't know what that is, Resume makes it so if you stop the CD, it automatically resumes where you last left off when you hit play again. *The ESP was working a little funny for a little while. It would play, but then the player would just shut down or something. Anyway, it seems to be working fine now. Okay, class, let's review what we learned: Pros: Cool look, easy to use, car adapter kit, and it doesn't skip a beat with ESP! Cons: Flimsy headphones, no reume, and slight ESP trouble. Bottom line: If you want a cool-looking CD player at an affordable price AND it comes with a car adapter kit, buy this one!
Rating: Summary: Amazing Product!! Review: I have had this for at least three years now, and it is still working as if I bought it yesterday! When I first saw it I thought it would break in a few months because it looks relatively cheap. But no, the player never broke and I have even dropped it a few times -- on the cafeteria floor. The only thing that I don't have anymore are the headphones, but those werre actually sheap. I think they took about 6 months to a year to break? They still worked fine, but they had broken off from the tracking. Anyways, it's a really amazing piece even without the headphones -- plus I was able to get a new pair that I enjoy more. Deffinately worth buying all in all. ^.^!!
Rating: Summary: You get what you pay for Review: I saw this CD player on sale at Amazon.com and thought, what a great deal! It was only $[money] or so at the time. Now, a year later, I realize it was too good to be true. This CD player is lightweight and very easy to carry, which is one really good thing about it. When it works, the sound is also pretty good. However when it is bumped it doesn't play very well at all. This CD player also looks nice and I really liked the anti-skip feature, since I was primarily going to use it while running and driving- both bumpy activities. However, the CD player doesn't work well for either. It is also awful on batteries - you can only play songs for about 45 minutes before it starts skipping and going out, and after an hour it just stops playing all together because it used all its batteries. For one thing, the clear plastic case that covers where the CD fits into is very cheap and it cracked right away. Now that means it doesn't stay completely shut and in the middle of a song, it decides to stop reading the CD. In the car whenever there is the slightest bump, the CD player gets cranky and turns itself off for no reason. Then you have to start it all over again and find the song you were on. While running it acts up as well, and I find myself having to hold it sideways, upside down, and every which way just to get it to play. Maybe this CD player would work well if you are sitting still and listeniing to it but other than that, it gives you all kinds of problems if you try to do anything besides that. If you want a cheap CD player and are willing to settle for some problems it continually has, this one is a good bet. But otherwise I would recommend spending a little more money on a more reliable CD player. I wish I would have!

Rating: Summary: WORST INVESTMENT I'VE MADE Review: LIKE THE OTHERS THAT WROTE IN WITH A ONE STAR RATING. I BOUGHT THIS FOR A CHRISTMAS GIFT FOR MY DAUGHTER BY MARCH IT STOPPED WORKING THINKING IT WAS THE BATTERIES WE CHANGED THEM. NOTHING!!! I TRIED GOING BACK TO THE STORE BUT BECAUSE IT WAS A SPECIAL PROMOTION WHERE YOU SPEND A HUNDRED DOLLARS YOU GET A FREE BARBIE. THEY WOULD NOT GIVE ME MY MONEY BACK OR EVEN A CREDIT BUT THEY WOULD GIVE ME AN EVEN EXCHANGE. THE PROBLEM WITH THAT IS THEY ONLY CARRY THEM AT CHRISTMAS TIME. I HAVE TRIED LOOKING ON THE INTERNET FOR A WEB SITE, DIDN'T FIND A THING. THERE IS NO PHONE NUMBER TO BE FOUND OR EVEN A COMPLETE ADDRESS. SO I GUESS I'M STUCK WITH A LEMON. I AM BRAVE ENOUGH TO SIGN MY NAME MAYBE THEY CAN CONTACT ME. KIMBERLY JACOVINO FROM MONROE CONNECTICUT

Rating: Summary: Don't waste your money Review: I am a real person who does not work for, or have any relation to the company GPX. I, like many of you, wanted a bargain CD player. You get what you pay for. This CD player worked fine for about 2 months, then, it went crazy. The play button didn't play, the stop button didn't even stop. It didn't spin fast enough and the CD's weren't recognized. The ESP caused more skipping than it fixed. I don't know who wrote all of those glorifying reviews but they don't have the same product that I do. Yes, the blue color is nice. That is why I give the product one star. It looks nice. If you want a decorative object, buy it. If you want a CD player, look elsewhere.
Rating: Summary: Terrific Value Review: A terrific cd player! Got this for my 7 year old son and he loves it. It has plenty of features and with the car kit and adapter included, it's a great value. The sound is very good with the headphones but I really like it in my van, especially with the bass boosted! I read a lot of negative comments about the headphones, but they seem fine to us. They're not broken yet. They do fit better backwards, at least on adults. The anti-skip works really well-even on Cleveland (Ohio) streets which are always in need of repair. I'm buying another one for my husband for Christmas now.
Rating: Summary: Solid performer Review: performs well. I use it in the car exclusively. Seldom a skip. The only problem is the buttons are a little small for use in the car, and back lighting would help for nightime. But you get used to it.
