Summary: The Best MP3/CD Player to Date!!!
Review: When I first heard of this product, my heart skipped a beat. Surely they didn't expect me to believe that a MP3/CD player had been designed which had great sound, a long battery life, amazing ESP, an ID3 tag/cd text display, and easy track navigation. Amazingly enough though, our friends at Sonicblue had done it! Not only did it have every feature necessary for both a good cd player and a great MP3/CD player, but it was low cost, stylin', and AVAILABLE! No more waiting months on end for a player which could tell precisely what you were listening to between 100+ tracks, and play back each of those tracks without a single problem. Finally, you could have a functional player which never skips tracks or entire folders, and even reads WMA files to boot. It's just nice to have a piece of quality audio workmanship after so many other MP3/CD player "flops". The Rio Volt simply beats the %$?/!! out of all other contenders in the marketplace. Its batteries can last up to 15 hours, and it's ESP is supposed to be good up to 120 seconds. I say "supposed to" because I stopped viciously shaking my player after only 60 seconds. The entire package also includes a decent carrier and a really sweet little remote control. I just have to say that I'm really impressed. Also, I should add that the company will offer upgrades on their web page which should be able to fix any possible bugs and/or upgrade the player. All in all its a great player with great features, backed up by a great company. Oh, I almost forgot, it comes at a great price too!

Summary: GOOD ENOUGH TO BE THE BEST
Review: At 650MB or more, an inexpensive CD can hold a lot of MP3 music. Unfortunately, till date most of the portable MP3 CD players haven't performed well. If you've got a CD burner and don't mind the size of the Sonicblue Rio Volt, then this might just be the MP3 CD player you've been waiting for. It is available for ...

Summary: 203 MP3s With 50 MB To Spare On A 650 MB CD
Review: This is the greatest MP3/CD player ever. I have hours worth of music and SNL skits on this player, and I still have room to spare. And that's not all, it can double the amount of music of most MP3/CD players, as it allows the playback of WMA files, which although are lower bitrates, have the same quality as higher bitrate MP3s. I am also very happy with the battery life and skip protection. Many people have complained about both of these on previous players, but I think they are great on here. Another nice feature is ID3 tag reading capability. There is no way I could have survived without a player with a big screen and ID3 compatibility. Overall, I am extremely happy with this player. The only player in the future that may rival this is the TDK Mojo, but I have seen mixed previews and reviews for the Mojo and some of it's features, so I would stick with this as basically, the only features you're missing out on are 8 minutes skip protection (it still skips sometimes) and playlist creation (you can program on here, and you don't even have to thanks to easy navigation with the great 10 song skip feature).

Summary: If you can snatch this pebble from my hand...
Review: This has broken down all barriers in mp3/cd audio! I think that this is great and fun to have. It is a little bit more $, but there are so many extras; like easy navigation (espically with the arrows), text-lcd screen, programmable tracks, and many other things!!! Up to 20 hours of music on a single cd is unbelievable! With a 15 hour battery life, you cannot beat this MP3/CD player. (plays mp3, wma, and cd-audio files) This is definatly the best MP3/CD player out there!!!

Summary: Don't Buy
Review: Ok where to start...
It's bulky
It eat batteries like no other. About 4 hours max on battery life.
I dropped it from about 2 feet and the lid broke; now I use the case to keep it closed.
It does scroll and that is probably the only good feature. However, you cannot organize your music in anyway. So you might be scrolling through a 170 song playlist.
I would suggest buying and Iriver SlimX 350 or higher.

Summary: a great gadget - the best available
Review: I used this player for about two years. I would highly recommend it. Sound and support is great. The only problam: after using it well for a couple of years it mysteriously died. I am now using the 250 model but I bought the extended warranty.
