Rating: Summary: UGLY BUT FUNCTIONAL Review: The price and the brand is the reason I'd bought it. The Walkman case is standard and it has a durable nylon exterior. The strap attached to the case is fixed and sewn on. It is approximately 2.3 inch (58mm) thick and it looks exactly like a chunky luggage belt (which is my main complaint). It seems the makers had placed very "little" effort into it. I don't care much for the color. Who wants anything that's grey anyway (unless if you still live in the early 80s)? Grey must have been the color of indecisiveness. Perhaps something chosen out of compromise. It's neither one nor the other. I haven't used it yet. I am too embarrassed to be seen with it in public. If you need a cheap and functional CD Walkman carrying case, then this is the product for you. Don't expect too much in terms of aesthetics. I may have to look for another case in the future. Look out, for some friend of yours (me for example) might palm this item off to you as a reject.
Rating: Summary: Pretty Decent other than a gaudy buckle Review: When i read the reviews about this product, i was kinda hestitant, especially with the last one that gave it only two stars, saying it looking like a luggage strap. I don't mind the material itself does. it's made of this kinda greyish/steel blue semi-stretchy material, which could have been a little more stretchy, if your someone like me who would only really use this when doing cardio (i.e. running, eliptical trainer, cycling, etc. no swimming obviously)What's nice is it has a reflector strip on it for those of you that are night/early morning joggers. i have the iRiver SlimX iMP-550 CD/MP3 Player with Ultraslim Design, and it fits in the case fine, so obviously the ones listed in the stats aren't the only ones that will fit in here. But obviously your player has to be not to bulky or too wide. The good thing about my cd player is it has a remote, otherwise the soft netting on the inside (where the front of the cd player faces you, where the buttons usually are) would be rather annoying to press or find. They should have put a very soft, flexible, clear plastic there instead of netting. But if you have one of those cd players that has the buttons on the ends like the sony dn-e58ck or sony dn-f610... this won't be a problem for you, because the top of the pocket, where the cd player slides in, has a cut to it that allows those buttons to be free of fabric or netting, and easily accessible. But then again, i like to constantly skip around thro my music, so if aren't like me than these feature shouldn't hinder you too much. These, to me, were minor set backs, since this case wasn't really meant for my cd player, but still works. The only thing i didnt really like about it, was the buckle that holds the two straps around your waist. It's big! i felt like i was strapping myself in to go rock climbing! Overall, i think it was a decent investment, but perhaps i could have done a little better. I'd give it 3.5 stars, (but there is no way to select halfsie stars).
