Summary: Could use better support!!!!! hope you don't use a router?
Review: I like using pirate radio, but needs better support for using this product with a router. Works great with direct connection, but hook up a router and the trouble begins.

Summary: Pirate Radio Broadcaster
Review: I subscribed to another similar product that had absolutely no Tech service and it failed miserably. I cancelled that and bought the Pirate Radio Broadcaster. It is very simple to understand and is fun to operate. I would recommend this to anyone wanting to start their own radio internet station.

Summary: Perfect for scanner broadcasting
Review: I use the software for broadcasting local law enforcement and EMS traffic. It's easy to use, but you need to have a working knowledge of IP addresses and, if you use one, routers. If you know your computer, this will be as easy to set-up as any software you've owned.

Summary: Great program, but nobody responds
Review: I was impressed with the program. It is pretty basic and like the the fact that it is your radio station. You can do so much with it from putting on a variety of different topics, music, etc. I want to set up a weekly schedule for any kinds of things.

The only problem is you have to figure everyone out on your own, because nobody in the forum responds to you. I have to complain about this. I have tried to contact the forum, the administrator and the staff several times and they absolutely do not respond. You are supposed to get some kind key code to get on the forum, which they also never sent me.

It is a shame, because this is a great program but it has an awful administrator and a terrible lazy staff. So if anyone runs into the same program you can e-mail me personally and I'll be glad to help. I think I have a lot of this figured out, but why should you be on your own.

But this is a pretty basic program where you can basically turn your computer into a radio station and come up with all kinds of concepts for this station which is your station. The possibilities are really endless. You are the General Manager, the Owner, etc. So I recommend this product for anyone, but again watch out for the lazy staff they won't help you.

Summary: Your own radio show is now possible and its easy to do
Review: I would recommend Pirate Radio software 100 percent if you are looking for an easy and cheap way to get into internet radio broadcasting. Software is easy to setup and use, just load up your mp3s and your almost there. Only drawbacks though are you really need to be on broadband to get some listeners but you could use this just for 1 to 1 communication with a friend or family member on a 56k modem though it has no private password facility for this, but pirate radio was developed to have anyone connect anyway and listen to your own homegrown music or chat.
Check your isp does not block your com ports though or this excellent little program may not connect to anything. Would like to see more hits to radio station listings but this program is constantly improving and i would say it has to be good value for money at the present time.
