Summary: V2i Protector Does Live Partition Imaging
Review: (This item should be called "V2i Protector" not "2I Protector".)I've been evaluating V2i Protector for a couple of weeks now: it's an impressive improvement over DiskImage Pro/DeployCenter. V2i Protector runs as a Windows 2000 service, is remotely manageable, and can image active partitions (including the system partition) either one time or on a schedule (no more shutting the system down and booting DOS in order to image the system partition); it can also be configured to e-mail a pariticular account when important events occur (plus it writes entries to the event log). I'd've given V2i Protector 5 stars if it supported workstations; PowerQuest says they're working on that (though it would seem to be a simple task, given the vast similarities between Windows 2000 Server and Workstation).

It runs on XP/Home, XP/Pro, and Windows 2000/Pro only.
