Summary: Norton Clean Sweep 2002
Review: I enjoyed it greatly, until I had a system crash and tried to redownload the product, I found out that I could not redownload the product. The little time I used it, I loved it.
5 star all the way.
This has taught me to buy the cd, than download it, for there are times when this info will be lost and it can not be redownloaded again.

Summary: Unsure of Worth
Review: I just installed Clean Sweep and don't fully know it's capabilities, so it's possible I'll change my rating. However, if you are used to clearing your internet cache and thought this would do it in one click instead of several, think again. It clears the temporary folder of most files, but is does NOT clear cookies. You still have to go back and do that yourself.

Summary: Cleansweep is great
Review: Norton Cleansweep is a great program if you have a smaller hard drive. It will delete and unncesary information safely with Fast and Safe Cleanup. It will also compress files that you want compressed to save hard drive space and compress programs. Highly Recomended

Summary: Won't do anything for you except destabilize your system
Review: This bloated, poorly designed program doesn't really do much that the simpler Disk Cleanup utility in Windows already does. Just go to Programs/Accessories/System Tools and choose Disk Cleanup. You can then defrag your disk using the option right below Disk Cleanup on the menu, if you wish. These two options will take care of anytnig Cleansweep 2002 will--and it already comes with your system. This is a waste of money, disk space, and time, because it's slower. Don't bother.

Review: This program is fun for about an hour: you click a few buttons and pretend to be organizing your files, until presto, you discover that it has gummed up your registry and that your other applications conflict with it. Norton admits--in the dark recesses of the Readme file--that CleanSweep is known to cause problems with Norton's own Anti-Virus software. (Shouldn't a software manufacturer be expected to produce two titles that don't wipe each other out?) The pain only continues: you go on to discover that uninstalling CleanSweep is a major hassle, and removing all the registry entries can take you the whole day. Later you ask yourself what this program did that you couldn't have done through Windows, and the sad answer is NOTHING. And at last you realize that you are but the latest victim of fancy packaging and let's-separate-a-consumer-from-his-money advertising.

I should have known better: everytime I've had a Norton product, I've had to deal with their technical support, and everytime I've had to deal with their technical support, they have failed to solve my problem.

Review: When I ran Norton Clean Sweep 2002 it took over my computer without giving me the ablility to shut it down. When it was finished hours later, I had to reinstall my operating system just to get my computer working again. Then I discovered that Clean Sweep had deleted every program on my computer and 99% of all of my files. It has taken me almost 2 weeks to get my computer working again. I got no help from Symantec because they charge $35 per technical help phone call which I refused to do considering what their software did to me. I have used Norton products before, including earlier versions of Clean Sweep, with no problems. This product, however, is dangerous and untrustworthy. I highly advise anyone considering purchasing this to at least back up all of their data first and then buy something else.
