Quieteye 2.4 Child Monitoring Software: Protecting Your Child on the Internet

Summary: Low Grade Shareware
Review: The interface and functions of this program appear and behave like a clunky beta version of lowgrade shareware. The program shell doesn't size correctly to the desktop, ironically leaving the "Hide" button hidden. The software doesn't deliver on its performance promises in too many ways. The keystrokes it captured were not only random and limited, but were cluttered with a lot of garbage that was never typed. Instant message captures were random as well. Not all messages were captured. Screenshots worked okay. Documentation is non-existent, and support is available via e-mail only. It strikes me that this software is simply not ready for release, and is not a suitable choice for adequate child protection - not at this or any other price. I'll be looking at SpectorPro from Spector Software.

Review: Using this software we were able to see that our child was being coerced by a coach to engage in sexual activities. We were able to prevent the worst from happening. Every parent should have this software.

Summary: Easy to install, easy to use, child never knows its there
Review: What I like about Quiet Eye is my teenager has no idea it is there. Even when you look at the Programs folder, its not visible. However, if you set a password, then your child will obviously know its there. My teen chats online and I was concerned who she was spending so much time with, so now I see EXACTLY what is being said to who, using the screen-shots feature. Another feature is keystrokes (although its called something else), which enables you to see text-based shots as well pass email passwords and any other key words your child types. I had a little trouble after I first installed it, because I couldn't get it to open. It took a few restarts and there it was. It does however, lock up frequently when I try to delete screen-shot logs (they take up a lot of memory). Overall, definitely worth the price.
