Summary: Version 5 is Good Stuff!
Review: I found version 5 of this package on closeout for under $.... At that time, the publisher was Extrememedia, a division of Broderbund. The box has a quote from John Dvorak, PC Magazine, Sept 2001, " ... close to perfection ..." I have a Dell workstation that came with a CD burner and Adaptec's (now Roxio's) Easy CD creator, V. 4. It has worked fine for me, but reviews of more recent versions seem to be negative. AND ... my version will not generate Video CD's (VCS/SVCD), which CD-Maker Deluxe does. This format allows creations of CD-R's with MPEG videos that will play on many DVD players. My experience so far has matched Dvorak's opinion - it works like it should, even alerting the user to potential problems with non-VCD compatible MPG files.
