Summary: Installs Spyware!
Review: Do not buy this or any Cosmi or Starshine software. It installs Spyware on your computer and it will take an expert to get rid of it. Don't make the same mistake I did!

Summary: Slow but cheap. No spyware in my copy...
Review: I actually got this software as a gag gift. I was told it cost about $2 at a local grocery store and it came packaged with "File Shredder". Being the geek that I am, I went ahead and installed it on my work machine. The software is very slow. I click and it takes a couple seconds to respond. (P4 1.8GHz, 500MB, etc). It does, however, display all open ports, does some firewall magic by default, and allows you to customize it if you have any idea what ports are and which ones you don't want left open. In the end it's better than leaving your computer wide open, and for the price you really can't argue. The slow interface doesn't matter, most people would set it once and leave it be. It didn't slow down my computer or anything... Oh, and the reason I'm writing this review... I saw that there was only one other review listed for this piece of software and it said Cosmi Firewall installed spyware on their machine. When I read that I immediately scanned my machine with Pest Patrol (with the latest updates) and found no spyware, so my copy (part of the "Swift Platinum Security and Privacy Suite" -no version # given) has no spyware.
