Rating: Summary: Wonderful Software!!! Review: If you format and partition hard drives, or if you need to reformat and don't know how....this software is a MUST! Very nice product, one of the best utilities that I have. This is very easy to use, with a wizard to walk you through the process. Also comes with Boot Magic for dual booting. If you've ever crashed and needed to reformat, this also comes with a program to boot your system, then it works in DOS mode. A must for all computer techs or newbies. This supports the high capacity hard drives and is XP compatible. They have a great support team that will help you. I can't say enough good things about this software!!!
Rating: Summary: Too good to be true! Review: It is been more than 20 days since I purchase this program and It does not work. I try everything from the help menu and still nothing. The product support from the company is inefficient hours 9 to 5 Monday thought friday. I even fax my receipt as I was told from the customer dep. with a promise of a call back..nothing .It took 4 days to get an answer from my first e-mail. My suggestion don't even bother with this program.
Rating: Summary: Its good, but why is this even here when PM8 is out? Review: Its good, but why is this even here when Partition Magic 8.0 is already available? When I used PM7, it had some minor compatibility issues with Windows XP. Partition Magic 8.0 seemed to have corrected these errors, so its a moot point. ...

Rating: Summary: Beware Review: Maybe those using this for years like it, but if you're like me and may need help, beware! I had problems on Win XP Prof from the beginning. Phoned for support - their attitude should be criminal. 45 minutes on hold for a guy who couldn't wait to get me off the phone WITHOUT ATTEMPTING TO FIX MY PROBLEM. He finally devoted 10 minutes to me and hung up with the product still hung up and not working. They have seen the last of me.
Rating: Summary: Necessary utility until MS incorporates it into windows. Review: One good thing that Microsoft does is it keeps the costs down for us end users by incorporating a ton of utilities into windows. Otherwise we would still be paying for a web browser. I liked this software. It did the job that I needed it to. I had a laptop that I wanted to try RedHat 7.2 with. So I used this to resize the partitions without loosing my XP Home OS already installed.
Rating: Summary: Good Product Review: One word of warning - this version does not support w2k servers. They have a separate product for that. Otherwise, its been useful.
Rating: Summary: Indespensible Product,,,,BUT Review: Partition Magic has always been a must have and still is, even more so with XP support, BUT...having to get a different version for NT/Win2k/XP server support is rediculous! There is no reason that this would be necessary (other than $). Get it, but be aware that it won't work on any server versions.
Rating: Summary: A grand partitioner Review: Partition magic is a very robust application. Nevertheless it performs partitioning extremely fast even on big hard drives. The interface is beautiful and userfriendly. I strongly recommend it to everyone who is in need of a hassle free partitoning program.
Rating: Summary: PartitionMagic 7.0 Review: PartitionMagic is an excellent program for partitioning down your hard drive. Using a graphical interface that is easy for most people to understand, you can perform numerous operations with almost virtually the click of a button.Partitioning your hard drive with this program is as simple as specifying how much space you want and where that space is to come from. You can even let PartitionMagic change drive references for you if necessary! That little feature saves time and a lot of frustration! Need to resize a partition that is already created? No problem, select resize specify how you want it resized, let the system reboot and you're in business. You can convert partitions from one type (say FAT32) to another (NTFS) especially useful if you upgraded to XP and kept your old FAT file system. This action is performed well... You can also check partitions for errors using this program, although you can do just as well using Windows included utilities. The price is kinda steep, but would you want to risk your data with a cheap piece of software? I have used this software numerous times, on numerous machines, and have had minimal errors. Definitely back your data up just in case, but nine times out of ten you'll be up and running in no time...
