Summary: The best one out there!
Review: I bought this cd player when no one really liked it. I decided to buy it myself and so far i have had it for a year and a half. The buttons are easy to use, you also have a very hard protective shield. For example i have a friend who always drops my cd player on the bus. And even through that it lives! And believe me she drops it almost everyday. Just dont throw it against something on purpose just to make sure it will not break. Ok so the radio isn't that hot. but the stations i listen to come through clearly. and a piece of advice. Do Not play the radio by a power line even though i don't know who would... It's just a piece of advice. You barely ever need the manual, cause it's that easy to use. And also the headphones stink! Throw them away and buy a new pair. I have really good ones and they only cost probably ...[a few bucks]. So just go out and buy this cd player!!!! I get compliments all the time on how cool this cd player is. So if anything buy this cd player. even though after i listed the headphones stink and the radio is ok, you probably think i would've rated this product a 4 or 3. Well unlike everyone else i love this cd player and i wouldn't trade it in for any other!!!! Go buy it, it's great!

Summary: Good Package...
Review: I just picked this up today, but already I know it's very good... lots of anti-skip memory, a radio, charging capability, a headphone remote, ac adapter, and a hand strap... plus, the cd player looks really cool, and has the options you'd want, like programing tracks, random play, resume, and hold, etc... it also feels solid as a rock, which is nice cause my other cd player was very flimsy, and I didn't have much confidence in it... The radio is very cool, and the reception is very good... also, there is room to program a load of radio stations in, so it's easy to get the channel you want... my only problem was that it cost more where I bought it then I wanted to spend, but with all the things included, and all the cool things included in the player, I guess it's worth it... this should last me for a good many years, so it was a good buy...

Summary: panasonic sw-899v better than sony dfs 815
Review: just bought this item today and gave it a work out ! NO skipping while shaking it vertically or horizontally !programmed a few radio stations and set it to memory easily . the head phones supplied went straight into the garbage !! thats a negative for panasonic . had to buy a set of sony ear phones . panasonic's earphones sound awfull and low volume output , and very uncomfortable !! the remote is a nice feature , unfortunately , you must use the remote if your going to use the earphones supplied . the cable from the earphones is only 2 feet long ! the rest of the cable is attached to the remote ... the remote it self for me is too small. buttons are ok but the writting on the remote is in black ... so is the remote !! they should try to change the color or the buttons and symbols to white . that would be easier to read !!those are the only 2 downer's of the unit. the unit itself is easy to operate and all function buttons are located with in reach . I tried out the sony dfs815 , which is the same as the sw899v in that they both have am/fm and water resistance , but panasonic offers twice as many options for the same price !!sony does not have a remote, both units have the same problem in that you must open the lid to access the button to change modes from random to normal play . no big deal ..all in all , if your looking for a unit that has am/fm ,h2o resistance and many great features ,you will be impressed with this panasonic sl-sw899v .hope this helps with the decision making !!any question , you can email me !
thanks

Summary: Not bad..
Review: Overall, the Cd player is very good. The overall build of the player feels very solid. however, the locks/latches break VERY easily. mine broke and the ones i've seen at several stores are also broken. The radio reception is great. The sound quality is pretty good. the provided headphones are TERRIBLE. they hurt after use. It's pretty hard to make this cd player skip. hasn't even skipped once on me yet. overall, a great buy. the things i have problem with is the price and the flimisiness of the latches.

Summary: Nice player, poor headphones
Review: The cd player sounds good and it pulls in all the radio stations I listen to, but the headphones that came with it are down right painful.

March 2002. This player has gotten almost daily use since June and it's held up well. I was skeptical about the hinge, but it's still together after being dropped a couple times. The only thing keeping me from giving it five stars is the headphones, I wouldn't still be using the player if I hadn't replaced the headphones.

Summary: There is no need to look for any other portable CD player.
Review: The only problem with this equipment ...the very well known fact that is it has a junk headset. Ok apart from this the faults .....NOTHING .It does have the modes buttons located within the case and it is inconvenient at times. But then how many times would you want to change these settings. I have just left it at resume play and my problems are over. A minor glitch may be that the system takes off a fraction of time to turn on the bass feature and so you dont hear audio continuosly. But hey ..thats ok for me. The anti shock works amazingly well and the Sound quality is fantastic. The radio pickup is classy. The noise reduction is also helpful when you use the 'City' feature. Programmable feature :very helpful and convenient .No more hassles of locating your favourite stations. In all a 4.5 star rating would be good for this .But since its not available id give a 5 rather than a 4 .

Summary: The best CD player that I have ever had.
Review: This CD player is the best for the money. It may seem a little high but well worth it.It has never skiped on me once even with it in my side pocket of my shorts while riding my bike. Even when I dropped it in my pool it still plays perfect. Over all the Best.
