Summary: A very good all around cd player
Review: I bought this for my twelve year old daughter and it is great. It survived being at the bottom of her backpack. You can bring it to the pool and anywhere else that you want to. It does not skip very much. It is strong and it is worth your money. It also has great headphones that are not heard by other people. Sony makes the best Sport Discman. This is the best discman that you can get because it is high quality. You will love it. It is for everyone. It is also a very pretty color so it is attractive yet useful. It is the only discman that you will have to buy in your life.

Summary: Good CD Player....until it breaks!!!
Review: I had an updated version of this Sport CD Player (the one that was out as of 11/00)..I give it two stars rather then ONE because it did have a lot of power (volume) and the thing really didn't skip while jogging...BUT it eventually gave out after only 7 months of using it. This is a [expensive]CD player....and to fix it was going to cost an unbelievable $150!!!! It needed a new laser. I have to say that EVERYTHING I have EVER bought by SONY (TV, Walkman, VCR, CAMCORDER etc) has ALWAYS BROKEN at least once. I think this will be my LAST SONY product...

Summary: Pretty stable, easy to control
Review: I've used this while blading/running/in the car and it's held up. Even used it for most the year as my primary cd player (hooked up to the computer speakers). I've been a little rougher with this model than I would a non-sport discman, and it's taken the moderate abuse well. Love the "rocker" button that controls track, stop, play/pause functions. If they somehow intergrated volume into that one button I'd be a happier camper, but still it's very convenient to have those features in one area. The Bass mode fine, Groove muddies the vocals and higher notes too much for me. The little rubber "plug" for the headphone jack popped off, but since you'll have the headphones plugged in there anyway it isn't too great a loss. Happy customer-- this one has held up better than my previous ESP discman from 3 years ago. Buying it as a Christmas present for friend.

Summary: I love the groove option.
Review: If you dont already have one of these you should get one. I never use the headphones that came with it(Optimus is nicer) but the portable cd player is really great. The groove option makes bands sound like what they are:bands. You should be careful not to drop it and even if the thing does break you can just use a regular stereo.

Summary: Very good quality, no skipping
Review: It has one bad thing about it: even when walking with it, it sometimes enters a period of silence, like it cannot read the CD. You have to press stop and then play in order to continue listening.

Summary: ONE OF THE BEST CD PLAYERS OUT THERE
Review: this cd player is very reliable. it survived tea being spilt all over it. it also survived being splashed on in the pool. the sound is great. there is one small problem,it does skip but very rarely.the only thing that makes it skip is when it gets hit on the "sports" label. I think its a good cd player

Summary: Great...Until it breaks!!!
Review: This is a really great CD player until it breaks!! I've had it for about 2-3 years and all the features are really excellent. The headphones are nice and it's generally easy to use. A few months ago the LCD screen started to go, which was a big pain because it is really hard to adjust the volume and the what song you're on. One day I tried to turn it on and it wouldn't go. I tried new battteries, hooking it up to the wall, etc. It just died. Now I'm really mad because it was expensive and only served 2-3 years. Come on Sony-this is just cheap!!!

Summary: Not so great
Review: Well I've had it for almost 2 years and it just stopped working yesterday. Granted, I have dropped it a few times in the past but it was fine after I dropped it. I haven't dropped it in a loooong time. The problems I've had with it are 1) the anti-skip wasn't so great; 2)the headphones broke (only one "ear" would play) after only a few months and I bought another set of Sony headphones and the same thing happened, and two more sets of Aiwa headphones and guess what! The same exact thing happened. I thought these were supposed to be the good brands?? 3) Another problem with this Discman is that when I used batteries, the display (i.e.Song #13 or how long the song has been playing)was faded or I could only see half of the numbers. It didn't do that when I used an adapter; and finally 4)Lately what would happen is I would stop listening to one CD, put in another immediately, and when I tried to play it it wouldn't work. So I took out the batteries, put the same batteries in again, and it would play. Well finally yesterday when I did that it wouldn't play at all even though I changed the batteries several times, put brand new batteries in, etc. Great now I have to buy another one. I had an old Sony Discman and it worked for YEARS. I'm sorry that I gave it away now. No it wasn't fancy looking like this one nor nearly as expensive but it worked.
