Description:
The IJ-828 portable MP3 and CD system is I-Jam's first product that will play both MP3-encoded CD-Rs and regular-format audio CDs (though it won't play CD-RW discs). Since MP3 discs can hold up to 150 songs on a single disc, owning the IJ-828 means you can bring hours of music with you on just a few CDs wherever you go. Just pop the disc in, and the IJ-828 will automatically detect the format. Since it is a portable unit, the IJ-828 features 50-second electronic antiskip protection and a minijack headphone output (headphones not included). A line-out jack will let you connect it to a larger system like your stereo receiver. Five preset equalization modes let you tweak your sound preference (normal, bass, high bass, superwoofer, and high treble). Along with the built-in Dynamic Bass Boost System (DBBS), these presets will give you some listening flexibility. For convenience, I-Jam has included such features as a built-in recharge circuit for rechargeable batteries, auto level control to smooth out the volume difference between songs, and a voice recording function that records up to eight minutes in the IJ-828's 8 MB RAM. The I-Jam IJ-828 uses a 4.5-volt DC power supply, two AA batteries, or two 1.2-volt ni-cad batteries. CD burning software is not included. I-Jam offers a one-year warranty on parts and labor.
