Rating: Summary: What you get is what you paid for. Review: I just got it from Circuit City and I discovered that this MP3 player is worthless... The mp3 decoder hangs very often. So you need to remove the batteries to "reset it". The button used as Play/Stop turns unusable when hangs. The functions included are helpful specifically searching thru directories for a file name (When you are lucky and the player decides to work). Basicly, if you look for a piece of hardware that will give you the pleasure to listen to your MP3 files, definetely THIS IS NOT THE ONE!!!Save your money and try another one!!!
Rating: Summary: Great Deal! Wonderful Product! Review: I just purchased this little MP3-CD player at Circuit City and am very impressed with it! I'm not sure why the other reviewer had problems with his, maybe it was defective. The 120 second skip protection works great - this player will not skip even if you turn it off. For the price, it blows away the competition.
Rating: Summary: almost there Review: i really think that 3" mp3 cd players are an almost ideal mp3 player as they can be quite small and quite inexpensive, but i've had three of this model so far and all have had the LCD either be defective right out of the box or within two days of use. plus it would be nice if this player was a little smaller. but unlike a full-size portable cd player, this fits in your pocket quite well. and 3" cd's are quite a bit cheaper than virtually any other form of memory expansion, and cd-rw discs work great. the skip protection seems ok, but it would be nice to have a hold option so that you don't accidentally bump the player and affect the play. the pouch with belt clip is nice, but i would rather have a clip as part of the player as i don't generally wear an actual belt. i can't wait to find the right 3" mp3 cd player, but without a working LCD, this one is not quite it.

Rating: Summary: Great little player Review: If you don't mind burning your own mp3 cd's, this is the player for you. Its small size make it very easy to carry around and the 120 sec skip protection works very well. The day after I got it, I attached the included case to my belt and worked out in the garden for several hours without a single skip. The mini-cds hold about three albums worth of music ripped at 128Kbps. They cost less than fifty cents a piece and I like their size. They have the CM800 at Circuit City for 59.00 and I don't see how you can go wrong. When you burn your CD's just make sure you use Mode 1, although you can have the long file names. Don't do multi-session, or the disk can't be read. Burn it disk-at-once at no more than 8x. These settings work for me.
Rating: Summary: No Love Review: Manual very limiting. I brought my daughter this for Christmas, it was a nightmare trying to find compatible MP3 files that would actually work with the player. MP3 files that worked find on several different pcs on a cd-r disc wouldn't work with this player. No web support found, this was a disaster.

Rating: Summary: XLNT, 4hrs on little pocket CD-Rs, Xlnt quality Review: This is a GREAT little MP3 player. Those tiny little CDs hold about 4 hours of MP3 music! The sound quality is great. For better volume, use your own headphones though - the ones that come with them are a bit low on volume. Compared to other full-size CD MP3 players, this tiny little guy is sure nice! Batteries last about 8 hrs. There is even a LCD window where you see the songs, can scroll through them, play 'em all or program your favorites. The 3 CDs that come with it give you about 12 hrs playing time (they're blank - you need a CD Writer to put the music on 'em. For the money, I can't find a better deal anywhere. Compared to many a bit more expensive - THIS is the one I'd recommend. 120 seconds anti-shock is pretty cool too. I hope you enjoy yours as much as I'm enjoying mine!
Rating: Summary: Great little player! Review: This little device was a lot better than I thought it'd be. Tried out a few others before I got this - even imported a few players from oversees - and none of them can touch this little beauty. For the price, it just can't be beat. I just feel a little stupid for not coming across this great product sooner than I did. Comes with AC adaptor, headphones (though you might wanna use your own for better sound), carrying pouch, nice little simple manual and 3 blank mini CD-Rs. Sounds great, DBBS works well, NO skips, bleeps, or glitches whatsoever (even while snowboarding), boots and loads up whole mp3 mini CDs quickly and efficiently (including various bitrates), and only about 1-2 seconds of pause between each song. Reads and navigates directories easily, displays (scrolling!) ID3 v1 and v2 tags and long filenames flawlessly, even displays bitrates and compression rates too. Batteries last well over 8 hours too (rechargeable NimH ones anyway), probably because the disc is almost NEVER spinning. It just loads up chunks of your song into its 120 second anti-skip cache then plays from there 'till it has to retrieve more chunks from the disc. It's also solidly built and small, you can just feel that it's gonna last a while. It even displays "Hello" when you turn it on and "Good bye" when you turn it off! Not backlit, but who cares - it'd just drain your batteries faster. Can't say enough good things about this player, what a difference it was from the last player I had. Get it while you can!
