Rating: Summary: Great For The Price Review: Although there are other Panasonic players that are probably better, the price jumps rapidly with the "better" player. I have had this one for over two weeks now and am extremely pleased. The sound is excellent, although a bit soft. The eXtra Bass System does a real good job at filling in the lessened bass. The 40 second skip protection is also excellent. The headphones are good, but could be better. I paid under $100 for it, which makes it the best buy. Better headphones and placement of the volumn knob would have given it 5 stars.
Rating: Summary: Good Radio But.... Review: I bought this CD player because of the good reviews I read. The radio portion is great and I am glad I have it because (being an avid exerciser) the CD player is so sensitive that it shuts off everytime I make a sudden movement. I can't use it while running, elipital trainer nor while walking. I get so frustrated with it that I just use it for the radio. If you really want a CD that won't skip, pay the money and get something better..
Rating: Summary: PERFECT C.D PLAYER Review: I got the C.D player and was scared it will be to big or to wide. It also didn't look that nice on the computer. When I got it I was surprriesed it was really nice and also really small. It has perfect radio reception and if it skips a little there's a botton u press and it's al gone no more skipping. The jogers grip is also good for people who like to jog (ME). It is a very very good C.D player and I give it 5 stars. If ur looking for a good C.D player wih ta AM/FM radio this is the one.........................
Rating: Summary: Don't buy this if you have a lot of CD-Rs! Review: I have a few thousand LPs that I am recording onto CD-Rs. This CD player will not play roughly 50% of them. I can discern no particular pattern relating to brand of CD, 74/80 minute capacity, etc. If you have a lot of CD-Rs, get a CD player that specifically states that it will read them. By the way, both my hifi CD players can read all the CDs, as can the 4 CD readers and writers on my home computers.
Rating: Summary: Good Quality, Good Name Review: I have owned over 11 portable cd players over the past 7 years. Taking into respect certain advancements in technology and quality, this particular CD player is good for practically every purpose. The radio reception is excellent for a portable player, and you will have no problem putting every favorite station to a memory preset. The Memory for this particular player was also much better than I expected, as you will undoubtedly notice after purchase. I am rough (clumsy at times) with many of my portable gadgets, and this player has taken a couple drops and is still unscathed to this day. I have had very few problems with the Panasonic brand, while having owned over 30 of their products over the years. This is a durable, user-friendly, CD player that has never let me down.
Rating: Summary: Panasonic disapointment Review: I purchaced one of these at a local store and found it to be one of the least functional pieces of equipment that I have ever purchased. The buttons were hard to control and the anti-skip was non-existant. For my purposes I decided to return the item and look for one more suitable to for jogging or exercise.
Rating: Summary: You don't worry when you buy it Review: I see people paying cheap prices and buy these CD players with no names and they are still proud. I would never go with a cheap device because it is "cheap", but I am willing to pay whatever it costs to get a good name, something sturdy. I have always had very good experience with Panasonic products and this is one of them. The antishock memory works excellent. Even when doing erratic movements there is rarely an interruption in sound. Battery consumption is good compared to an average player. Radio reception is excellent (though I don't use it very much). It comes with a hand grip that makes it easy for joggers and also an AC adaptor. However the car kit is not included which should be purchased separately. Above all, behind it is the label "Made in Japan" not made in China or anywhere else. I have had it for four years and overall I am very satisfied with its performance and never had even a small problem.
Rating: Summary: Great cd player Review: I walk about 3/4 of a mile on my way to the bus stop. i get on the bus and it starts to move goes over bumps does not skip pretty normal. but one day i decided to give it an anti-shock test. first i jumped right from where iwas standing it did not skip. then i shalked very hard for about 45- seconds to a minute it did not skip(the reason i stoped was because my arm got tired).then i ran 150 meters as fast as i could run it did not skip. ijumped six stairs it did not skip i joged with it it did not skip. So my final conclusion was the cd portion of the player was excellent. my biggest surprise though was the fm/am tunner. i had previosly owned a walkman tape player with a digital tunner but i was a little disapointed with the outcome. but this tunner stayed in tunne about 95% of the time i could not believe it. the design on the unit i find is very nice .the battery life is about 25 hrs even longer if you use the tunner. i have not droped mine yet(wich i am glad not to have!)so i can't comment on that. the unit is very small they look to be bigger in the pictures but this unit is the exact size of my palm(i'm 13 and have small fingers.) i live in canada and mine came with in the ear headphones despite the model number bein the same But i found the s-xbs bass boost very good crisp and clear it did not disapoint me. My only very minor complaint is that they should have made easy accses pressets for the radio for example if you have station on preset n.17 and you are in the tunning function you would have to press the memory button and the the preset button until the number 17 shows up. Despite that i found this a very reliable playerthat has not let me down.A litle tip compare this product with the panasonic SLSW869V and you will find that they are virtualy the same exept the shock wave one costs 90$ more. thank you for youre time p@trick
Rating: Summary: Excellent Product Review: I was concerned when I purchased this that the radio may not get quality reception, but it does. This is a quality product that makes my daily commute on the train more enjoyable. I hope you will be happy with it as well.
Rating: Summary: This a great cd player! Review: I was kinda skeptical about buying this product. There were so many other choices but i'm glad i chose this one. I've owned a couple of cd players before and this one is definetelly by far the best one i have owned. I just took this cd player on my cruise and it was perfect! I was so happy! The memory is pretty easy to set so you can conveniantly pick your stations in just a couple clicks! The reception is superb. It's like listening to my own boom box anywhere i go. The jogging handle was what made me wonder though. I thought it might be some cheapo velcro thing that you could never get off the player, but it turned out that that was one of the most things i was impressed with! This handle is a sturdy reliable rubber handle that u can easily take off or on whenever u want! I was really impressed. I was kinda dissapointed though about the skipping. Sometimes when i just set it down on a table, the song would stop for a couple seconds. So i turned on the A-Shock system and now it pratically never skips! I can jog and do whatever i want and it doesn't skip. The SBX system is really good too. U can hear everything with such detail and I was pretty impressed. I am so happy about this item. I think this is just soooooo great! This should definetelly be a MUST HAVE! Trust me, if your looking for a cd player. This is the one to get!
