Summary: It's a great buy for the price
Review: After doing some research, you really can't get a better unit for the price. It has great sound, light weight, and it has the 40 second skip protection. Not only that, the batteries last a long time. The SONY models I looked at were of cheap quality in the same price range.

Summary: 5 Stars to Panasonic's Product and Amazon's Price!
Review: After my last CD player ceased to provide me with exceptional playback, for the records... it was a sony discman, I began to look for a new one. Expecting to pay as much as two-hundred dollars, I almost collapsed when I saw that Amazon only wanted $79.99 for this one. Let me tell you that this CD player is worth every penny I paid and a hundred more! When in antiskip mode I found no way to make it skip! The sound is absolutely terrific. The headphones, after a little getting used to, are more comfortable than sonys. Also, Amazon doesn't mention it but this player has what is called a pop-up eject system. All you do is push a button and the CD pops up, no more prying! Please notice that the CD player is really silver and gray, not white and gray like I thought. Still, a terrific looking, working, and priced CD player.

Summary: Coffee, D & D and the Fallen CD.
Review: Another work day, Dunkin Donuts Java, a toasted Coconut Donut, and John Coltrane on the Portable CD. Walking out of the local D&D I felt a tap on my shoulder. Startled I quickly turned around. A pretty lady was pointing toward the ground. To my amazement and embarrasement the CD player was trailing behind me. The player never skipped a beat. I was totally unaware that the player had fallen out of my CD case. The player is superb. I use it in the car, on the train, while jogging. It has not skipped yet. If you want a reliable, great sounding CD player this is the one.

Summary: the best running partner EVER
Review: I am an avid runner. I've used tape players for many years, but missed not being able to repeat a song or play the album in a random order. I've tried other "antiskip" CD players over the years, but this is the first one that actually works! The first time I used it, I tried to run as smoothly and gently as I could for fear of making the CD skip. To my amazement it didn't skip at all; even after I ran my normal jarring cadence. I recommend this to any runner who prefers the ease of listening to a CD rather than a radio, tape. I couldn't believe how lightweight it was the first time I put it on. The only advice I have is to wear the CD player on your abdomen instead of your lower back. At least that's where I found it to work the best...HAPPY RUNNING!

Summary: Excellent CD Player but not suited for jogging
Review: I bought this model packaged in the "Jogger" configuration with a waste-belt carrier. It is advertised as being able to play without skipping during mild jogging/running. WRONG! While perfectly suited for walking and bicycling, you'll only get 41 seconds into your run before being plagued with skipping problems. Overall: A good unit, but not good enough to take jogging... unless you want to carry it in your hand.

Summary: Great Portable CD player - even if you have never owned one
Review: I have never had a CD player before this. Right out of the box I understood how to use it and how to hook up the adapter and headphones. It has a small compact design, so it is easy to carry. The AC adapter is a godsend, because I usually listen to music near my computer. And no interference, like my radio has.

I even dropped it once from the desk when it was playing and as soon as I picked it up it started going again. Picking it up normally and moving it causes no skipping!

The controls were easy to master and the sound is great. The stereo headphones are shaped like your ears, making them stay on better than rounded headphones, and less bothersome. Inside there is a button to push to pop your CD out, so you dont have to wrestle with it. The full opening hinge top also assists in easy change of CDs.

The only thing keeping me from giving it 5 stars is I wish I had bought the car kit with it. Then I could take this great music with me on the road.

Summary: an awesome CD player
Review: I haven't had this CD player for too long, but in the short time that I've had it, I've used it a lot. It is great...the sound is awesome, I can drive over bumpy gravel roads while listening to it in the car and it doesn't skip. I recommend this CD player highly.

Summary: Really stands up to the punishment
Review: I was really anxious to test this one out. The old player I had skipped ALL the time. We all know how annoying that is! Well, this unit really stands up to some severe punishment! The only time I got it to skip was when I was running at about 10 mph for over a minute with the unit only sitting in my shorts pocket. The player was flopping hard against my leg which I would not normally let happen. These units may have anti-skip technology; but that doesn't mean that the components can't eventually be thrown out of whack by careless use! When I held the player in my hand, I ran as fast as I could and was shaking it up and down REALLY wildly to the point where I could see the cd stop! Even in doing this, I kept on hearing my tunes! I think the unit and it's easy-to-use features are excellent; but the headphones are WAY to big and funky! The only way I could appreciate the players also excellent sound quality was through purchasing a different set of better sealed, smaller earpieces. Overall, I would quickly and confidently recommend this one to anyone looking for a great cd player to use while working out, running or anything involving lots of bumps, jolts or other harsh movements. This player will help keep you rolling! Another note: My order with Amazon.com came VERY quickly too. Thanks Amazon!

Summary: Simple and Functional
Review: I'd just like to say that my unit just gave in after four great years of use. The SL-S360 is so simple that you can just take it out of the box and KNOW it, without having to read the instructions. The sound quality was near perfect, and the Anti-shock system was amazing. You can drop this thing on the floor and it'll just keep going. If you're looking for a CD player that's reliable without all the unecessary bells and whistles, make this the one.
